PARKING REGULATIONS
All Jersey City residents who own or lease a vehicle area required to obtain a residential parking permit for each vehicle.

No Parking Signs & Meter Bags In order to obtain “no parking” and meter bags you must have a permit; permits are issued by the Traffic and Transportation Department located at 575 Route 440. Please contact Monte Zucker at 201.547.4469 to find out what information is needed in order to obtain the required permit.
Fees:
No Parking Signs: $10 per sign (one week/5 day maximim)
Meter Bags: $20 per meter bag per day
You may obtain No Parking Signs and/or Meter Bags Monday through Friday, 9am to 12:45pm and 2pm to 4:30 pm.
Resident Parking Permit: This permit is for most Jersey City residents who have their current vehicle registered in Jersey City. Prerequisites include a copy of your driver’s licence, vehicle registration and a non-refundable check or Money Order made out to The Jersey City Parking Authority. Applications can be downloaded at www.cityofjerseycity. com

Resident: $15 per year per vehicle
Senior Citizen: Free
Temporary: $15 (valid up to 30 days)
