City Of Coppell
Much is made of Coppell’s enviable northwest Dallas County location — and for good reason.
It’s just a quick drive to DFW International Airport, the Las Colinas business center, the North Dallas business center or downtown Dallas. It’s not much further to downtown Fort Worth.
Coppell’s economy relies largely on its proximity to DFW International Airport, which is directly to its southwest and accessible by multiple highways and surface routes. As such, many corporations have shipping, distribution facilities and headquarters in a large commercial zone comprising the southwestern section of the city. Among them are Amazon, Lucent, The Container Store, Gordon Foods, Samsung, Mohawk Industries and many more. It is also home to AAA Texas Headquarters.
Coppell is proud of maintaining both a consistently low crime rate as well as low unemployment rate. Single-family homes range from around $200,000 to a few million, so Coppell offers a variety of housing options for any stage of life and budget.
The city prides itself on pedestrian and bicycle connectivity – residents enjoy more than 250 miles of sidewalks and 16 miles of trails. Parks are sprinkled throughout the community and offer a place for active or passive recreation.
All of this and more make Coppell the perfect place to live, work and play!

A NOTE FROM MAYOR WES MAYS
Coppell is one of those special places that has it all — a thriving business district, a top tier school district, acres of green space, and one-of-a-kind public amenities — wrapped up in a close-knit, small-town package. It’s a great place to start a business, raise a family, get to know your neighbors, put down roots and enjoy a comfortable life in a safe, yet exciting community.
We’re known throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for providing an exceptional quality of life for our approximately 43,000 residents. In addition to our diverse residential community, I’m proud to say that Coppell is also home to nearly 1,900 businesses, including 28 corporate headquarters and 11 Fortune 500 businesses.
A history of strategic planning and a conservative fiscal approach have not only distinguished Coppell as a community of choice for families and businesses, but has also allowed for our stability during trying times.
And while these last few years have certainly given us some challenges, they also showed that we are prepared to meet unexpected surprises. We are always looking ahead and moving forward, continuously improving the way we provide service and bringing the community’s strategic goals to life. As a City, we’re working toward a more inclusive environment, planning for evolving demographics, boosting local businesses, hosting community events and programs, delivering necessary services and state-of-the-art amenities, providing opportunities for education and engagement, and so much more.
The transition from a rural farming town to the flourishing community that we know today happened neither overnight nor by accident: Coppell’s success is largely due to a history of visionary leaders, active and engaged residents, innovative business partners, and passionate city staff that are dedicated to providing high-quality services.
Our community spirit embraces small town values, the importance of family, and neighbors helping neighbors. People are willing to pitch in, and it is that volunteer spirit that sets Coppell apart. Take a walk in the Nature Park, get your hands dirty in the Community Garden, pick up something local from the Farmers Market in bustling Old Town Coppell, or enjoy a show at the Coppell Arts Center. Whether you are new to Coppell or have been here for many years, you will be inspired by our community spirit and passion to succeed.
I’m so glad you’ve chosen to call Coppell home, and I can’t wait to see what the future brings!

From its 4th of July celebrations to Scare on the Square, Coppell goes all-in for holidays. It’s one of the ways the city has earned its reputation as a family-friendly community with a small town vibe.
