Cooroy open-air cinema

DUE to the success of the pilot open-air cinema night on the top of the Cooroy Library, the Cooroy Future Group have been granted two more dates this year by Noosa Council. The next movie screening is the classic “The Lion King” on Friday 11 August starting at dusk. Organised by the Cooroy Future Group and sponsored by local businesses, proceeds from popcorn and candy sales will go to the Cooroy Future Group to help organise the next community event. Gold coin donation.

Yandina Country Music

Bushfire recovery talk

PAUL Donatiu from Healthy Land and Water

(HLW) is the guest speaker at Noosa Parks Association’s Friday Environment Forum on August 25 where he will discuss the restoration of lowland subtropical rainforest following the 2019 bushfires. The forum starts at 10:30 am and morning tea is available at

10-10.25am. Entry is $5 by “tap & go” at the door which includes morning tea/coffee. Noosa Parks Association Environment Centre is at 5 Wallace Drive, Noosaville.

Cooroy Handmade Artisan Festival

IN its third year, the festival promised to be a vibrant event with a lineup of 70 talented artists, makers and designers. The event begins on Friday 25 August 25 from 4 pm to 7 pm with a ‘shop and sip’ and continues on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm.
