Cooper Carry Since 1960, Cooper Carry has believed that great design happens through connection. Our multidisciplinary approach brings together people, place, process, and performance to create environments that are meaningful, enduring, and greater than the sum of their parts. Inspired by our founder, Jerry Cooper, we approach every project with curiosity, listening first and asking the right questions to understand our clients, their goals, and the communities they serve. By connecting the right expertise and perspectives, we create thoughtful solutions that strengthen communities, enrich experiences, and bring our clients’ visions to life.
Connection by Design.
One ecosystem. Many perspectives. Greater possibilities.
Mixed-Use Ecosystem We don’t work in silos. Cooper Carry’s mixed-use ecosystem brings together specialized studios and design services within one integrated practice. Our teams can draw on expertise across the firm, connecting the right people and disciplines at the right time to meet each project’s unique needs. This approach is especially powerful as traditional boundaries between building types continue to blur. Hospitality influences residential. Workplace informs mixed-use. Branding and experiential design shape how people understand and navigate place. Planning connects individual buildings to neighborhoods and communities. Rather than applying a singular design style, we begin by listening. We seek to understand our client’s vision, the market, the context, and the people who will ultimately experience the place. The result is design shaped specifically for its purpose and strengthened by the perspectives that come together to create it.
Pre K-12 Education The best learning environments create a sense of belonging.
The Cooper Carry K-12 Studio designs learning environments that feel warm and welcoming. They are made for the people who use them, with a human scale that helps students and educators feel at home. From the moment you walk through the door, the space should communicate safety, belonging and possibility. We start by listening closely. What do clients say they need? What do they hope to create? And what does the community need from the school? Together, we uncover the ideas and aspirations that can make a place feel more connected and inviting. Those insights become environments where students feel supported and educators feel empowered. We believe the process should feel as good as the finished space. Complex decisions become easier to navigate when there is clarity at every step. Meaningful conversation has room to shape the work, while careful attention to detail keeps the project moving forward. Our approach is thoughtful and well organized, yet never rigid. Clients can explore possibilities with confidence and enjoy the journey of creating something together. Our best work creates places where people feel welcome and supported. It invites curiosity and encourages connection. Most of all, it makes learning feel like something you want to be part of.
