Since 1960, Cooper Carry has strived to create spaces that connect people to place. Like our founder, Jerry Cooper, we do this by being curious and asking questions to determine the best solutions for our clients and the communities they serve. Cooper Carry’s leaders are advocates and authorities for their specialties, empowered by decades of expertise to make decisions that prioritize placemaking, civic space, and the greater good of communities, tenants, residents, and visitors.

We believe that the space between and within buildings is as important as the buildings themselves. This is why connectivity is at the core of what we do. We design functional places that relate and react to those around them to create a cohesive, sustainable, experience-filled whole, all in service of our mission to enrich the lives of those who come to live, work, learn, or play within the spaces we design.

Design plays a key role in creating vibrant areas that contribute to a city’s sense of place. The Carolinas offer a rich blend of typography, with each region creating a defined vibe that draws visitors, future residents, and industry to the area. We treasure our part in that story. We have created hotels and resorts along the coasts and nestled among the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains peaks. We have designed retail in bustling cities and state-of-the-art technological spaces at R-1 institutions. In growing cities like Charleston and Charlotte, we have designed amenity-filled residential and multifamily spaces that connect people to place, enabling them to experience all that these cities have to offer.
