Celebrating 75 Years
Members and special guests came together to attend the Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting on October 7th. Attendees heard from the General Manager, met with the Board of Directors, enjoyed entertainment from talented musicians and vocalists, received a $20 bill credit, and had a chance to win over $5,000 total in cash and prizes.
The event began with music and entertainment from the Oklahoma Moon Band. This marks the second year in a row that this group of entertainers has provided the music for the meeting. Boy Scout Troop #731 presented the colors, and the talented Kate Stamper, from Stigler, performed an amazing rendition of the National Anthem.
General Manager Juli Orme addressed the members with information to help members stay informed about operations for CHEC.
It’s always a blessing to get together and meet with our members each year.
After the meeting, a drawing took place where over $5,000 in cash and prizes were given away to attendees. This year’s grand prize was $750 in cash awarded to Judy Duncan from Sallisaw. We want to thank Gordon and Terry Bird from Gordon Construction for donating $1,000 to be given away at the meeting. Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative is extremely grateful to our members who were able to attend, and we look forward to the next 75 years!
