Right-of-Way Clearing Project Update

You may have noticed crews in our service territory continuing work on clearing the rights-of-way (the areas around our power lines and poles). This clearing of trees, limbs and brush is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of outages and reduce the risk of someone coming in contact with the power lines.

Work is currently wrapping up in the Sallisaw area, and crews will now begin concentrating on the Keota area, including east of Keota and north of Highway 9 (Cowlington, Star and Jingle Mountain). Crews will continue clearing efforts throughout 2021.

Clearing the rights-of-way protects individuals from the hazards of electricity and makes power restoration quicker and safer for Cookson Hills Electric members, the public and our personnel. Please contact Marty Huff at 918-775-2211with any questions or concerns you may have about this project.
