our generosity is powering the innovation that is transforming CEC. This innovation is resulting in strong academic performance, continued program and facilities upgrades, and increased enrollment.

We are excited to announce the launch of the CEC STEEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, EAST [Education Accelerated by Service and Technology], and Mathematics) program. Engineering courses will be taught on campus by Mr. Brian Wurtz ’84, who recently joined the Danaher Lynch Family Foundation (DLFF) as the Director of STEM Programs after a successful career in the tech industry. Our ultimate goal with this STEEM program is to provide our students with more opportunities in order to accomplish our mission of preparing them to make informed and confident decisions regarding college and career upon graduating from CEC. Our momentum continues to build as we move toward the 2020-2021 school year.

Construction on our state-of-the-art turf soccer/lacrosse field began in mid-June and is slated to be unveiled this fall. Our Counseling Center and Chemistry lab were completely renovated over the summer. We will continue to invest in our facility because we firmly believe that our students will thrive in an environment that raises expectations and promotes success.

We have also recently established an exciting partnership with The Franklin Institute (TFI).

Our initial program with TFI will include professional development for our teachers around understanding the brain and teaching with a STEM mindset.

Lastly, the gymnasium bleachers will be replaced early this fall, yet another exciting transformation of our facilities.
