The 2019-2025 Open Space and Recreation Plan documents Holyoke residents’ stated needs and presents their vision for a future city where important natural resources are protected and parks and recreational programming are accessible to all. The City of Holyoke collaborated with the Conway School to update this plan based on feedback from community members, local organization leaders, and City officials. This document inventories environmental conditions and challenges and examines the availability and quality of open space and recreational opportunities. The resulting action plan provides a framework for preserving the rich natural landscapes of this historic city and improving the quality of life for all.
