More than 821 million people are food insecure globally. The majority are women and minors. Many are making less than $1.90 per day.
If women had the same access to resources as men, the number of hungry people in the world could be reduced by up to 150 million people due to productivity gains. A girl’s income increases up to 20% for every year she stays in primary school. Continued education delays marriage and is a deterrent to women becoming victims of violence. Information obtained from Food and Agricultural Organization | World Food Programme | UNICEF
Women produce between 60% and 80% of the food in low- and middle-income countries.
There are 70 million child brides in the world, equating to 1 in 3 girls within developing countries.
Women invest up to 90% of their earnings back into their households and manage it toward nutrition, food, health care, school, and income-generating activities. This helps break the cycle of intergenerational poverty.

THE SOLUTION TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE CHANGE HER STORY When the global economy turned for the worse, Miranda's husband could only work small odd jobs, and the family quickly accumulated thousands of dollars in debt. Miranda completed the Women's Empowerment training and received the materials she needed to start her own business making and selling clothes. "I would like it to be a story for women to see that we cannot remain stagnant, but we can advance and grow, and become better people and good mothers," - Miranda.
women put their hearts and minds “ When towards something that really matters,
they make an enormous impact. When women empower other women they are making a way for them to soar in every sphere and season they find themselves.
