Who & Why

Convoy of Hope was founded in 1994 by Hal Donaldson. His inspiration for starting the organisation can be traced back to the many people who helped his family after a drunk driver killed his father in 1969.

Convoy of Hope is privileged to work with churches, businesses, government agencies, and other nonprofits to provide help and hope to the vulnerable, hungry, and hurting. Thank you for doing the right thing, even during challenging times.

Convoy of Hope is a faith-based, nonprofit organisation with a driving passion to feed the world through children’s feeding initiatives, community outreaches, and disaster response.

fter serving over 164 million individuals across the globe, Convoy of Hope has opened an Operational Hub to resource partners in the Oceania region. As a field office, the Australian team is responding to natural disasters and launching international programs to help hope return to local communities.

WHAT We Do

As a faith-based, international humanitarian-relief organisation, our goal is to bring hope to those who need it most.

Convoy of Hope's Disaster Services team is consistently among the first to respond to disasters. Highly regarded for our scalable response and distribution model, we utilise our twelve international warehouses, a specialised disaster response fleet, and a highly-trained team of staff and volunteers to respond quickly and effectively.

Food security transforms communities by lifting people out of dependence on others for their daily sustenance. Through our Agriculture program, we equip vulnerable farmers and their families with the skills, tools, and seeds to produce life-sustaining crops.

When women are given the opportunity to generate income, it impacts the economic standing of their families and communities. We partner with women to help develop sustainable resources which they can leverage to make more strategic, independent life choices.

C onvoy of Hope wants to see lives changed, free from poverty and hunger through our Children’s Feeding initiative Food security is a critical component of a thriving community, as it increases the likelihood that children can stay in school, among other positive outcomes.
