Ecco dunque, che anche provando ad analizzare il break-even-point delle due tecnologie, sono tante e tali le variabili che anche se consideriamo i 2000 metri lineari un valore di riferimento, non esiste in realtà un quantitativo di riferimento sopra il quale è meglio il tradizionale rispetto al laser, anche se certamente per velocità, semplicità operativa, estrema precisione, e tirature più corte il laser è la risposta, soprattutto in abbinamento alla stampa digitale che trova nella fustellatura laser un prezioso alleato, mentre per tirature più importanti, dove non sono richiesti numerosi cambi lavoro, è la fustellatura rotativa tradizionale coi lamierini a fornire la soluzione migliore al mercato.
