Da qui la decisione, supportata anche dall’aumento dei volumi produttivi nell’ultimo periodo, di raddoppiare con un altro espositore Crystal XPS Led. Questa decisione, oltre a garantire una produzione di alta qualità ha consentito a Flexo Italia di aumentare la produttività e ridurre i tempi di lavoro, tanto che come conferma Carlo Betti “adesso la nostra giornata di lavoro è tornata a essere di 8 ore normali, liberandoci del tempo per eventuali nuove opportunità da cogliere”.

ONE YEAR AFTER THE INAUGURATION OF THE NEW COMPANY HEADQUARTERS IN CORSICO (MI), THE MILANESE PREPRESS SERVICE THAT WORKS FOR FLEXIBLE PACKAGING AND LABELS MARKET CONTINUES TO INVEST IN TECHNOLOGY: A NEW CRYSTAL LED IMAGER BY ESKO AND A NEW SOLVENT DISTILLER PLANT

Food and healthy sector are the main reference markets for Flexo Italia, a flexo prepress service based in Corsico (MI), which just before the outbreak of the pandemic had completed the move to the new production site, now equipped with two complete lines for the production of flexographic photopolymers. A young company, led by a young entrepreneur, Carlo Betti, with 15 collaborators, and in continuous growth, as evidenced by the turnover that in the last year has grown compared to the previous year, including some new references among its customers. “With covid-19 and people’s changing consumption habits, the explosion of e-commerce, both in the packaging market for food and beverage industry and for healthy sector, we have worked on dizzying rhythms, 15 hours a day, making the most of the potential of our systems”, tells us Carlo Betti, retracing the last year of work, during which printers have produced all types of packaging day and night, pouring on their prepress suppliers increasingly frequent orders with very short delivery times. nuovo CDI di Esko mentre un altro investimento importante ha riguardato l’installazione di un nuovo impianto per il trattamento e il recupero dei solventi. “Avevamo un distillatore datato che non era più funzionale alle esigenze attuali. Con il nuovo distillatore abbiamo meno scarti di produzione da smaltire e quindi meno costi da sostenere, un prodotto pulito e pronto all’uso da reimmettere nel nostro ciclo produttivo. Questo è il classico investimento che permette di ottenere una grande efficienza a livello di costi e in un mercato sempre più competitivo diventa fondamentale trovare al proprio interno quei margini operativi che migliorano di fatto l’efficienza e la competitività di un’azienda”, aggiunge Betti. Investimenti che per Flexo Italia hanno riguardato anche la forza lavoro, con una nuova figura commerciale inserita in organico, un addetto nel reparto grafico e un operatore in produzione. 

Hence the decision, also supported by the increase in production volumes in the last period, to double with another Crystal XPS Led imager. This decision, in addition to guaranteeing high quality production, has allowed Flexo Italia to increase productivity and reduce working times, so much so that Carlo Betti confirms that “now our working day is back to 8 normal hours, freeing some time to spend for any new opportunities to be seized”.

NEW SOLVENT DISTILLER PLANT: MORE EFFICIENCY AND LOWER COSTS A new Esko CDI was also added to the production department, while another important investment involved the installation of a new solvent treatment and recovery plant. “We had an outdated system that was no longer functional to current needs. With the new distiller we have less production waste to dispose of and therefore less costs to bear, a clean and ready-to-use product to be reintroduced into our production cycle. This is the classic investment that allows for great cost efficiency and in an increasingly competitive market it becomes essential to find those operating margins that actually improve efficiency and competitiveness of a company”, adds Betti. Investments that for Flexo Italia also concerned the workforce, with a new commercial figure, an employee in the graphics department and an operator in production.
