Ladies Learning and Leading June 5-8, 2006 Energize your creativity and expand your skills while studying with professional artists during this coeducational, residential program for rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. Learn contemporary practices in drawing, printmaking and book arts from Converse art & design faculty in a studio environment.

Converse College Summer Visual Arts Program An Exploration of the Paper Arts
• Learn alternative drawing techniques using a variety of media • Explore silkscreen printmaking through direct drawing and photo emulsion processes • Examine digital possibilities as they apply to drawing and printmaking media • Install work in the Milliken Art Gallery for an end-of-the-week exhibition
June 11-16, 2006 Join a writing community of intellectually curious and motivated high school students to develop your talents in poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction. A limited, selective enrollment will ensure that participants receive personal attention. Students will receive instruction and critique from professional writers; learn techniques for successful writing, editing and publishing; and participate in a public reading of their work.
