Spring Cleaning Your Medicine Cupboard: A Fresh Start for Your Health
As we welcome the warmth and renewal of spring, it’s the perfect time to tackle an often-overlooked task —cleaning out your medicine cupboard. Just like your home, your medicine cabinet needs a refresh to keep everything in order and safe. Here are a few tips to get started:
Check Expiration Dates
Start by checking the expiration dates on all your medications. Over time, medications lose their potency, and using expired products can be ineffective or even harmful. If you find any expired medications, it’s time to dispose of them.
Dispose of Expired Medications Safely
Never throw medications in the trash or flush them down the toilet, as they can harm the environment. Many local pharmacies, including Tumbler Ridge Pharmacy, offer safe disposal programs where you can drop off unused or expired medications.
Consult Your Local Pharmacist
If you have questions about any of the medications in your cupboard, don't hesitate to reach out to your local pharmacist. They can provide advice on proper storage, any potential interactions, and answer questions about whether a medication is still safe to use
Spring cleaning isn’t just for your home taking the time to organize and refresh your medicine cupboard can help ensure that you’re ready for any health concerns the season may bring. Stay safe and healthy with a clean start!

Kristin’s journey with Conuma spans almost eight years, and her passion for both the company and the communities we serve shines through in everything she does.
Kristin says, “There are so many things I love about working for Conuma, but the people definitely top the list. Over the past eight years, I’ve built friendships that have become like family. Even those I haven’t worked closely with in years are still some of my strongest connections.” Kristin’s deep sense of community and camaraderie is a testament to the strong bonds she’s formed over her time here.
Having been with Conuma from the early days of operation, Kristin has witnessed the company’s incredible growth and commitment to both its employees and the communities of Chetwynd, Tumbler Ridge, and Mackenzie. “It’s been incredible to witness Conuma’s commitment to not just its employees, but also to our communities. Being part of that kind of support is something truly special and makes me really proud,” she shares.
Kristin is proud to share the support that she has received from Jenn Graham and Jess Way, who have supported her wholeheartedly in climbing the ladder and expanding her skills. “Seeing them grow from the ground up into leadership positions has been truly inspiring, and I feel so lucky to have worked under both of them.”
And of course, Kristin’s biggest supporters are her parents, who have been her rock both professionally and personally. “Even though I didn’t take the educational path I originally planned, they’ve encouraged me every step of the way. My mom has taught me kindness and empathy, while my dad instilled independence, leadership, and of course, some solid Excel skills (lol) I wouldn’t be the motivated, driven, and independent person I am today without them.”
Kristin’s journey with Conuma is a testament to the power of hard work, growth, and the unwavering support of both colleagues and family. We're lucky to have Kristin on our team, and we can’t wait to see where her continued growth takes her! Thank you, Kristin, for all that you do!
