December 19th, 2025, marked a monumental day for Conuma Resources Ltd, as the company received the Permits to restart the Quintette Mine. This approval represents the culmination of years of sustained effort, perseverance, and collaboration across our organization, with our contractors, and with our partners. It is an exciting new chapter for our company, our employees, our business partners, and the communities we work alongside throughout the South Peace region. Securing this permit is a major milestone. It enables the next phase of work at Quintette and reinforces our long-term commitment to the region—bringing certainty, stability, and economic opportunity while supporting responsible, regulated mining practices. This achievement is the result of tireless dedication, hard work, patience, and professionalism from every member of our team and our contractors. We are also deeply grateful for the support, guidance, and collaboration of Indigenous Nations and communities in the South Peace region. There are no words that can fully express the importance of these relationships or our appreciation for the trust placed in us. We look forward to a bright and successful future for Quintette, for Indigenous Nations, and for the communities we are proud to work with.

Sam plays a key role as our Light Duty Vehicle Coordinator, where no two days are ever the same. He thrives in a fast-paced environment and believes there is always something new to learn each day. “I never come to the table with everything I need,” Sam says, “but I’m always ready to figure it out.” That mindset fuels his problem-solving approach and drives the satisfaction he gets from seeing real, positive impacts on the people around him. Sam is known for tackling challenges head-on and finding practical solutions that keep operations moving smoothly. He takes pride in making a difference, whether it’s resolving an issue quickly or improving a process for the team.
Maintaining a strong work-life balance is important to Sam, and he does that by bringing a positive attitude and a sense of fun to the workplace. “The days are short,” he says, “and having fun at work makes everything better.” Away from site, Sam values spending quality time with his wife and family, recharging and staying grounded so he can bring his best to both work and home. Sam’s dedication, adaptability, and commitment to Conuma do not go unnoticed. We appreciate the energy and reliability he brings to his role every day.

Everyone is welcome to explore the Wolverine Trails! The Wolverine ski trails have been groomed out to the cabin, special thanks to the Noksanas! Kind reminder: No walking or snowshoeing on the groomed tracks. Footprints and snowshoe marks are tough on the trails and can take hours of volunteer time to groom out. Dogs are strictly prohibited on the golf course and on the groomed forest trails. Dog paws leave deep ruts that take significant effort to groom out. Please help us protect the trails and respect the countless volunteer hours that go into keeping them in great shape. Booking the cabin for overnight stays is free for WNMS members.
