Conuma Update

#08

DAYS OFF FEB 20/ 25

FAMILY & COMMUNITY BULLETIN

Conuma Resources completed its acquisition of Peace River Coal operations from Anglo American. Conuma has been working with Anglo for nearly two years to complete this transaction, which will further strengthen Conuma’s position as a global leader in the production of steelmaking coal. We are honoured to work closely with Indigenous Nations and our communities to support this acquisition. As we move forward, work will commence to ensure care for wildlife and the environment, especially in the area of caribou conservation and recovery efforts.

How to Stay Motivated at the Gym when New Year’s Resolutions Stop Working Every January, gyms and recreation centers are packed with people determined to stick to their New Year’s resolutions. But as the weeks go by, motivation fades, life gets busy, and those once-dedicated workouts become less frequent. If you’ve found yourself skipping gym days or struggling to stay committed, you’re not alone! Here are some tips to keep yourself motivated and make fitness a lasting habit: 1. Set Realistic Goals - Instead of aiming to work out every single day, set achievable goals—like three to four times a week. Small wins keep you motivated and prevent burnout. 2. Find a Workout You Enjoy - If you dread the treadmill, try a fitness class, swimming, or strength training instead. 3. Make It Social - Working out with a friend or joining a group class can make exercise more enjoyable. It also helps with accountability—when someone is expecting you, it’s harder to skip a workout! 4. Switch Up Your Routine - Doing the same exercises every time can lead to boredom and plateaus. Challenge yourself by trying new equipment, increasing weights, or taking a different fitness class. 5. Focus on How You Feel, Not Just the Scale - Progress isn’t just about weight loss—it’s about energy levels, strength, and overall well-being. Celebrate non-scale victories like lifting heavier weights or running longer distances. If you’re looking for an affordable and welcoming place to work out, check out your local recreation center. With a variety of fitness equipment, group classes, swimming pools, and even sports leagues, it’s a great way to stay active in your community. Plus, many rec centers offer flexible membership options that fit your schedule and budget. Remember, fitness is a journey, not a quick fix. Stay patient, keep moving and find what makes exercise enjoyable for you! H&W
