A CONVERSATION WITH Mayor Musselwhite
We have big-city amenities, but along with that we have great recreational opportunities and fun things to do here. It’s a safe place and we have great schools, great churches, and restaurant dining. To still have that small-town feel and have the big-city amenities, that’s what makes Southaven a unique place to do all three of those things.
Whatwouldyouconsidertobesome ofSouthaven’sbest-keptsecretsthat makeitaspecialplacetolive?
A lot of people are not aware about Jim Saucier Park behind City Hall. It’s an absolutely beautiful park and is a great place to walk, fish, and everything else. A lot of people who move to Southaven don’t know about our history. We have a new program with historical marker signs with famous locations from our early years.
Whyishavingexceptionalparksand recreationfacilitiesimportanttothe city’squalityoflifeandattracting peopletoresidehere?
We have a major plan to increase the multi-use trails to connect parks and things of that nature. There’s also the appeal to your city. When new business wants to come here, those are some of the things that they look at. Parks and recreation opportunities are on that checklist. It’s important to make your city economically attractive, as well.
WhatwillarenovatedBankPlus Amphitheater do to benefit Southaven asanentertainmentcenter?
The problem presented to me was that we did not have enough permanent seats for our promoters to have quality events because a lot of the gate money is earned by the artists up front. So adding the seats was the number one thing
that we could do to attract bigger and better artists here. We now promote the concerts ourselves and we hired a promoter, so there is more revenue that goes back to the citizens and there is the tourism impact. There’s also the convenience of having more bathrooms and concessions where people are not waiting in long lines.
WhatistheimpactonSouthaven havingabusinesscommunitythat includeshavingfacilitieslikeMedline andGooglelocatehereinthepastyear?
It puts a stamp on our city that it is a great place for business and your employees to live. When you have companies like Medline and Google, which are global titans in the business world choose your city, it sends a message to other businesses that this is a great place to be. It has an after-effect for future companies coming here, as well.
HowdoestheChamberofCommerce provideanimportantpiecein showcasingthecityofSouthavento itsresidents,people,andcompanies elsewherelookingatthecity?
The main thing the Chamber does is that it brings our existing business community together from a networking standpoint, which is tremendously important for the city. But they are also our first impression in a lot of ways. Having a great first impression is key to promoting business in the city.
HowisSouthavenpositionedto notsitcomplacentbutcontinueto moveforwardasahubcitytoNorth Mississippiandbeyond?
People may think you’re staying where you are, but you are never “staying” where you are. You’re either moving forward or you are moving backwards. So, it’s important for our city that has been enormously successful to be pushing forward and taking our city to new economic plateaus. We have so much momentum going right now and it’s important we continue to move the city forward in that area.

Beans & Leaves at Silo Square and now inside the Northwest DeSoto Center welcomes you in with a warm, inviting atmosphere bringing you French and Spanish flair. The LeBlanc family believes that every person is different and that should be embraced, so every person who walks through the doors gets a personal experience.
B & L offers a variety of coffee that comes to us from a five-generation family-owned Guatemalan farm. Gelato is offered because LeBlanc’s son Noel loves its smooth texture.
Mark likes coffee, while Margarita is a tea drinker. Daughter Cassandra is the in-house

We found the right fit with Luis Santos and Wendy Padilla-Madden. Their fivegeneration family history of Santos Coffee is unique, and their intense dedication to crops, coffee, and the people of Guatemala was essential to our family values. In our search for loose-leaf teas, a friend mentioned Yaupon Brothers Tea out of Florida, and as it turned out, they were joining forces with Yazoo Yaupon out of Clarksdale, MS. That’s right, our tea is grown right from our Delta backyard.
The city of Southaven has done a fantastic job, and with the Snowden Grove bridge and the development of Silo Square, there is an added energy and nostalgic feel of past times. It feels like you just walked into a Hallmark movie, and that feeling pours into our atmosphere at Beans & Leaves.
Behind each Silo Square business are lovely families who support one another, always lending a helping hand, collaborating on events, and joining in cross-retailing products.
Our business keeps other small businesses all the way down to our additives. The retail syrup line consists of Pink House Alchemy handcrafted from Fayetteville, Arkansas, and local honey is provided by Pigeon Roost Apiary in Olive Branch. Ceramic Coffee mugs by Belltower.

Keeping the Connection Clear
Infrastructure is a big four-syllable word that at first may sound massive or maybe even menacing. However, when talking about what makes a city successful, attractive, convenient, and welcoming, the items that come under infrastructure — such as roads, bridges, water and sewer systems, and such — are vital to a city’s success.
Improvements to Southaven’s infrastructure have been a high priority for city officials, and they are seeing the results of their work. There’s always more to be done, but what has been accomplished is another reason many people choose this city as a place to live, work, and play. When people come to the state’s third-largest city, they are confident the roads are being taken care of, the water and sewer systems are working as they should, and if not, they get quickly attended to.
Mayor Darren Musselwhite, through his two terms leading the city, says infrastructure improvements and maintenance have been of paramount importance for Southaven. “It is a must with a city growing as fast as we are,” Musselwhite says. “It is also imperative
SOUTHAVEN MAGAZINE INFRASTRUCTURE May Boulevard Pedestrian Bridge
NOW AND INTO THE FUTURE
for keeping and improving the economic attractiveness of your city. The most challenging part of infrastructure management is the delays and timelines of federal and state funding programs which are necessary for large projects, but Southaven will continue to envision the future and aggressively develop the infrastructure needs of our city.”
As you travel through the city, you’ll see a continual attention to the effort to build or improve the lifelines of Southaven: its streets, roads, bridges, and other other similar structures.
We’re not talking about road and bridge work just for vehicles, either. Southaven has enjoyed improvements over the past four years to promote pedestrian traffic in the city.
Likely the most visual of these is the May Boulevard Pedestrian Bridge over Getwell Road at Snowden Grove. Not only does the pedestrian bridge connect the growing Silo Square development to Snowden Grove Park and BankPlus Amphitheater, but it is a conduit to the Snowden Grove Park multi-use trail and the Central/Snowden Grove multi-use trail.
A 10-foot-wide multi-use pedestrian trail connects Central Park with Snowden Grove Park by following along Tchulahoma Road and May Boulevard with another leg from Central Parkway to Getwell Road to Snowden Grove.
At Snowden Grove, residents are enjoying the 10-foot-wide multi-use trail that winds its way through the park, a convenience they’ve had over a two-year period.
Meanwhile along Main Street, another pedestrian project with federal funding support has added sidewalks from U.S. Highway 51 east along Main Street to Jim Saucier Park on Northwest Drive next to City Hall.
We’ve also seen work on Stateline Road to repair the bridge there over Horn Lake Creek. It’s an important connection between Southaven and the western end of DeSoto County. With the aid of a state Emergency Road and Bridge Repair

Fund, and with the county and city jointly sharing what state funds didn’t cover, work started in 2020 and was finished a year later.
That’s what has happened in just the past few years in city infrastructure, but the progressive moves to keep Southaven among the best places to be continues.
You will hear about the widening project for Getwell Road south from Church Road. Currently a two-lane roadway, Getwell is set to grow in the next two to three years to four lanes with a landscaped median and a multi-use trail with the enhancements to the BankPlus Amphitheater and the addition of approximately 6,000 seats, the widening project can’t come quickly enough and will most certainly be welcomed by all.
Concerns about traffic congestion after concerts and sports events at the Landers Center should lessen once the Pepper Chase Road Extension project is finished. Funded by state, county, and city dollars, it will provide additional access and egress to and from the Landers Center to the south. Much of the money for this came with the construction of the Medline distribution center, but it should limit the traffic problems coming out of the Landers Center when your favorite artist’s concert appearance ends, of course with the expansion of the Landers Center, conferences and youth sporting events will be bringing droves of people to stay in the hotel addition, the Pepper Chase Road extension will be utilized for many years to come.

Another major road project everybody hopes will happen sooner rather than later is the proposed widening of I-55 south from Church Road. Local and county government and business leaders have continued their pursuit of funding and construction of the interstate to benefit the entire county. Everyone in DeSoto County can help by signing the electronic petition at www.drivingdesoto.org. This petition is a grassroots effort to have state and federal government make widening I-55 a higher priority. When it happens, expect to see I-55 become a 10-lane interstate from Goodman Road south to I-269, enhancement of the Church Road interchange, and a new Star Landing Road interchange. Further south, officials are pushing for a six-lane interstate from I-269 south to Hernando.
There are also plans to ask for state funding that would widen U.S. Highway 51 to four lanes and add new traffic signals from Church Road to Green T Road near Hernando.
Look for more pedestrian trails between May Boulevard and Nail Road, street resurfacing and widening, plus additional traffic signals at key locations in the city.
Southaven is a city that places a major importance on the components that keep each area connected, offers health and exercise opportunities through its walking trails, and keeps your travel time as convenient as possible.

Confidence. You being confident that the sale or purchase was right for you is my #1 goal. Selling or buying a home can be unsettling. The various elements of the process can have you feeling unsure of what you need to do. My network of other agents and professionals work alongside me to guide you through the process and ensure that you make confident decisions along the way.

Always remember, the house you want today will likely cost more later, so now can be a great time to buy a house when you’re ready to do so. I don’t expect to see the home appreciation growth of 20 percent, 15 percent, and 8 percent we’ve seen the past three years in Southaven and the Mid-South. However, I do expect to see a return to a more normal 3-5 percent annual increase.
Ifmovingisonmymindorinthenear future, what do I need to do first?
A seller should consult with me to determine what, if anything, needs to be done to sell the home as quickly as
possible for as much profit as possible. A buyer should get a preapproval letter before looking at homes. I can connect you with a trusted lender.
WhatwouldmakeyousomeoneIneed toworkwithinbuyingorsellingmy home?
My wife and I relocated nine times and bought six homes – all before I became a REALTOR®. We used an agent for all purchases except the first. That means we sold five homes. Two of those sales were on our own, which we didn’t do correctly. Years later, they created a financial burden for us. I personally know the stress of buying and selling. At the end of the day, I want you to be confident with your sale or purchase.

Taking Education TO THE Head of the Class
DeSoto County schools are among the best in the state and a top notch education system is a key factor in the growth of Southaven.
It’s no secret that Southaven and DeSoto County are where some of the best educational opportunities in Mississippi and the Mid-South are found. In Southaven, students can go from pre-kindergarten through high school, and then follow a career path through a career college, technical college, or even community college and then earn a fouryear degree without even leaving the city. There are so many options, public or private, where a child can go to school. So, basically for as long as you want to learn, there are places where you can learn a trade, learn a skill, or work toward a degree.
The foundation of education in Southaven and DeSoto County are the schools that compromise DeSoto County Schools. The 34,500-student district this past year was noted by the U.S. News & World Report, which has five DeSoto

County campuses, including Southaven’s DeSoto Central, among the top 20 high schools in Mississippi.
“We are so proud of the accomplishments of our students, teachers, administrators, and staff, and it is great to see them recognized on the national level,” says Superintendent Cory Uselton. The school district was named one of the top 20 employers in Mississippi by Forbes magazine in both 2021 and 2022, ranked as high as number seven in the 2022 list.
Teachers are paid well, thanks to local supplement increases and a state pay raise. First-year teachers are supported with new teacher mentors and future teachers learn about a career in education with a Career Tech Center Teachers Academy. There are options available in Southaven to parents who want a faithbased, private school environment, as well.
Northpoint Christian School is a
Christian college preparatory school through grade 12 considered one of the best private schools in the Memphis/MidSouth area.
Sacred Heart School in Southaven is operated by Sacred Heart Southern Missions for students through grade eight. Laura Grisham says the school, which celebrated its 75th anniversary in the 2022-23 school year, has a very diverse population from different faith backgrounds.
“Last year we represented 26 countries with close to 350 different students,” Graham says. “About 50 percent are Catholic but the rest are from other faith denominations.”

Brown Christian Academy (BCA), located at Brown Missionary Baptist Church, is an early-childhood preschool as well as a lower-division elementary school through third grade, says BCA Director Dr. Gwendolyn Neal. BCA offers an education for children of families that are faith-based,” says Neal, “especially those families that are African-American or families of color “who are looking for teachers, educators, and support individuals that look like them.”
Did you know that Southaven is part of a global school district? The Network of International Christian Schools/Oasis, also known as NICS/Oasis, operates 15 schools in 13 countries and the network has a total of 5,200 students and 800 credited teachers.
President Blake Weaver says NICS/ Oasis has a wide outreach to the world. “Christian teachers in the classroom are offering the highest-quality international education available,” Weaver says. “That’s our DNA. That’s the secret sauce where

NICS/Oasis operates a unique school centered from Southaven called NorthStar Academy. It offers students in grades 4-12 a complete and fully-accredited academic and diploma-granting program with over 200 course offerings. “It’s been ranked one of the best online schools in the nation,” Weaver says. “They provide an educational alternative for families that may be living in a rural place internationally.”
Once 12th grade has been achieved and that graduation diploma received, students have several options available to them to further their education right at home.
For those desiring a healthcare career, Concorde Career College is a perfect place to be. “We strictly focus on healthcare, which I believe gives us an advantage,” says Southaven Campus Director Chris J. Burgio. “We offer medical assisting, dental assisting, medical office professional, and massage therapy.”
Burgio says students continue to give him and his staff feedback on their education, and the response has been excellent. “This campus alone for the last eight years has had a student satisfaction rating of 96 percent or higher,” he says.
It’s far from a secret, but education in Southaven is top-notch, highly ranked, and available for all ages and interests. ■
We are so proud of the accomplishments of our students, teachers, administrators, and staff, and it is great to see them recognized on the national level.

More Than a Walk in the Park
Southaven’s parks and recreation facilities and programs rank among the best in the region and it’s only getting better and better.

Jim Saucier Memorial Park
It’s no secret that Southaven’s parks and recreation facilities and programs rank among the best in the region and it’s only getting better and better. Many say Southaven is all about baseball and with the Snowden Grove Park diamonds hosting tournaments, such as the Dizzy Dean World Series and now with the inclusion of Perfect Game, those diamonds are kept quite busy and annually bring players and families to visit.
But a big push has been made this year to improve other recreational facilities, according to Parks and Recreation Director Wes Brown. “The last 10 years we’ve been focusing on ‘big ticket’ items that draw tourism,” he says. “Now we’re investing in neighborhood parks, trails, pavilions and playgrounds, things that really help the people that live here.”
Those investments include pedestrian trails emanating from Central Park toward Snowden Grove Park with the goal to eventually connect Snowden Grove to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. Brown says it’s part of a $3.2 million investment for the city. “Phase one is the neighborhood parks, pedestrian paths in the bigger ones, new playgrounds with rubberized surfaces, pavilions for reunions and get-togethers, picnics and that kind of thing,” he says.
What people can do in Southaven is diverse and available to anyone regardless of age.

“I think we’re becoming a small city with big amenities as far as parks and recreation goes and it’s very exciting,” Brown says. “We have baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball, soccer, disc golf. Our Forever Young program for retirees and senior citizens does everything from play cards to yoga and aerobics. They have Friday night dances and quarterly luncheons. They’ve been to Niagara Falls and South Carolina. We really have a program that caters from young to old.”
It’s that variety that businesses see when they consider coming to Southaven, and it’s the same with families thinking about moving here. They want to have something to do and Southaven fills that desire.

As much as the diamond sports are what the city has been known for with the activity at Snowden Grove for baseball and the Greenbrook Park softball complex, other sports are gaining attention.
Soccer has become a growing sport and tennis will get a big boost when the Snowden Grove Tennis Center grows to 20 courts and has pickleball courts added to it. Much of the soccer interest comes with the new complex at Snowden Grove and the oversight of the program from Soccer Director Levi Nunnally. He’s a Southaven native and former Northwest Mississippi Community College women’s coach.
“Having a central location for the programs makes it closer to everyone,”
It’s not only going to be the parents with the players. It’s going to be the grandparents, the aunts and uncles, and people who come with them.
Baseball World Series
Located at 235 Goodman Rd. W. @ I-55 Southaven, MS 38671
says Nunnally. “The complex is in great shape and it was well designed. It has piqued a lot of interest for people to come play it [soccer].”
In the short existence of the seven-field complex, Nunnally has seen recreational soccer interest expand. “We had 420 kids out for soccer that first season in 2021,” he says. “In the spring of 2022 we had 470 and in the fall of 2022, our numbers jumped up to 575 or so. It’s really starting to take off.”
Brown adds that the soccer complex has already attracted some top-level tournaments.
“This past year we had the MISA Elite Cup, which is like the state tournament for rec soccer players with 60 teams,” Brown notes. “That tournament usually is awarded only to Tupelo or Oxford and this year we got it.”

JEFFREY F. MCEVOY, MANAGING ATTORNEY
Home Surety Title & Escrow, LLC / McEvoy Law Group
Helping to close your real estate transaction to your best result is what Jeffrey McEvoy aims to do.
“The real estate game is a team sport. You have to trust your team to help secure your dream home, increase your investment portfolio, or sell and turn a profit. Be it negotiating the contract, inspecting the property, securing the financing, or signing the paperwork, the players you draft to serve on your dream team can make the ball bounce higher or leave you hanging on the court,” says Jeff McEvoy, Managing Attorney of Home Surety Title and Escrow, LLC. “Our team of 30 staff, including Mississippi licensed attorneys, are trained to proactively provide the solutions that get you to the closing table without issues.”
Just because you’ve paid the money and obtained the keys does not mean that your investment is secure. A legal
document called a deed present in the Chancery Clerk’s Office outlines who owns the property, describes the property info, and has to be executed properly in order to secure your ownership interest. If this document is incorrect or incomplete you might put your life‘s largest investment at risk. Trust the team of our professionals to make sure your documents are correct at closing. We will even issue an insurance policy at closing called “title insurance” that will ensure your ownership interest is secure. We look at all the public records, making sure that every “T” is crossed and every “I” is dotted.
• Red Carpet Treatment:
“In 30 years of practice, I’ve never closed two deals that were exactly the same. We do our best to tailor specifically to every client, agent, and lender,” McEvoy says. “We take as much work as we can off the shoulders of the real estate agents, and we’ll close anything from a shoe box to
the Empire State Building and do what it takes to get it done legally.”
• Safety and Security: Wire fraud and deed fraud are rampant. Home Surety’s team is actively investing in progressive technology to prioritize security.
• Community Matters: McEvoy is currently involved in various industry-related associations on the city, state, and federal level. Some of these initiatives include best practice committees, governmental affairs, fair housing, and technology implementation.
“I have been closing real estate for a long time,” McEvoy says, “and the look back is not about how many or the largest ones I did, but did I make a difference in the community and its citizens? Can you make a difference in a neighborhood or be part of a solution that helped the city and its blight and growth? This is what is important to me. We exist to unlock dreams.”

“Soccer is such a fun game,” adds Nunnally. “It’s a free-flowing game and there’s a lot of action. You’re constantly moving. It appeals to a lot of people.”
The sport called the “World’s Game” is growing, but baseball and softball continue to inject interest and activity in Southaven. Brown says 2021 was the best year for the city for baseball with the addition of Perfect Game tournament teams coming from as far away as California, Texas, and even Puerto Rico in the next year. Softball had its best year ever as well.

“It’s not only going to be the parents with the players,” Terrell explains. “It’s going to be the grandparents, the aunts and uncles, and people who come with them, so it’s going to be a family vacation.”
Those families do more than just watch games when they come. Terrell saya you’ll find them in restaurants, stores, and shopping centers. “We have great family-friendly restaurants and we have shopping,” she explains. “If they’re not doing something, they’re going to shop. Tanger Outlets makes us a shopping destination for Southaven.”
Their visits are a welcome economic addition to the city. Terrell says in Fiscal Year 2021 through the end of June, visitors
spent $408 million in DeSoto County, of which Southaven is an important part. Visitors also select from any of the 51 lodging facilities in the county, of which Southaven has 21 of those with more than 1,600 available rooms.
“When people come into Southaven and look around, they say, ‘Wow!’” exclaims Terrell. “Look at all of the great restaurants and hotel brands. Look at all of the shopping. It’s truly unusual for this area.”
So, you want to take a walk, ride a bike, cheer your favorite baseball or softball team, serve up a tennis game, or chase down a soccer ball? Whatever your way of enjoying the outdoors, it’s no secret: Southaven is the place to be! ■

I’m a Mississippi native, wife, mom, health advocate, and love my state. I have over 15 years of healthcare experience with the last 8 years being a family nurse practitioner. Inspire Health and Wellness clinic is a direct primary care clinic that started in 2019 from a deep passion to serve the community. We are different in that we don’t accept insurance. Instead, we offer convenient monthly health care memberships directly to consumers. Our focus is on the uninsured, underinsured, self employed, and small business owners. Plans are affordable, with college student and family discounts. Our members are offered same or next day appointments. All clinic services are available in the office, telehealth app or on a mobile house/ work call basis. Some of our services
include DOT, work and school physicals, medical marijuana certification exams, medical weight loss, and chronic disease management.
My husband, Darren and I are native Mississippians. In 2004, we moved to Southaven as he started as a Southaven police officer and also deployed to Iraq with the MS Army National Guard. We love it here and can’t imagine raising our family anywhere else.
My passion to become a nurse was something that started while watching my mom care for her ailing parents. I knew nursing was what I was called to do. After graduating from Mississippi State in 2004, I attended nursing school at Baptist College of Health Sciences and graduated in 2007. I was hired locally and I fell deeper in love with nursing. I wanted to become more
impactful so in 2014, I became a family nurse practitioner. After doing so, the desire to be self-employed and provide more wholistic community health care became a goal.
In 2020, my family contracted COVID-19. I became deathly ill, spending five days in the hospital, 4 months on oxygen, and another few months fully recovering. My struggle to survive left me wanting to do all I could to educate the community. Through Mississippi’s COVID-19 Provider program, we provide free vaccines and education within local businesses, schools, and churches for ages 6 months and older. We’ve held drive-through COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinics, partnered with local children’s clinics, factories, churches, and set up at events throughout the state. We are proud to be a part of taking great care of the citizens of Southaven, DeSoto County, and the state of Mississippi.

Where Good Health is a Top Priority
Among the most important needs for a thriving, growing community like Southaven is the medical care available for those who live and work in it. The city is part of a world-class area for top medical facilities in the Mid-South and highlevel care is mere minutes away. Southaven is known as a top regional medical center and has several offerings for healthcare, including physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic care, and others.
The foundation of the medical presence in Southaven, of course, centers on Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto, an award-winning facility that offers a variety of primary and emergency care services. However, it is just one component for a community that offers everything from chiropractic to urgent care, orthopedics, and more.
In the world of orthopedic medicine, for instance, Southaven is home to two of the Mid-South’s most well-respected clinics. Both have locations across the region but are proud to include Southaven among their clinic locations.
Campbell Clinic is one of those facilities that is internationally known in the field of orthopedic medicine for more than a century and has been in Southaven at its Airways Boulevard location for more than 20 years. “Aspiring orthopedic surgeons have traveled to Memphis to learn from us — including many of the orthopedic providers in the Mid-South,” says Dr. David R. Richardson, MD, FAAOS of Campbell Clinic in Southaven.

Another plus for the Southaven medical community is the Baptist Cancer Center, which relocated to a new facility on the Baptist-DeSoto campus in August of 2022. The center provides comprehensive cancer diagnoses, treatment and therapies in a single location.
Southaven, MS - 580 Stateline Rd. W. Batesville, MS - 105 Champion Dr. 662 . 470 . 5198
Another area involves training new doctors in their chosen field of family medicine. Dr. Daniel Hogue is the director of the new Residency Program at BaptistDeSoto. Residents in this program have learning experiences in both the inpatient and outpatient areas. Each resident receives supervised hands-on experience and can then care for patients at a Baptistowned medical clinic and at a federally qualified healthcare center.
Other specialties for healthcare found in Southaven include gastroenterology care, dental and dental implants, orthopedics, psychiatry, chiropractic care, hearing and vision specialists, and substance-abuse treatment and care.
Health and wellness, treatment, prevention, and support offerings make Southaven a top location for healthcare in the Mid-South.

WILL SMITH, OWNER
Sauced by Will Smith
Dishing out great tasting wings and more, Sauced by Will Smith layers the flavor on your food so you’re glad to come back time and again.
Sauced by Will is an eatery that specializes in wings and other Southern mainstays, sauced to perfection! You can have those mainstays sweet, hot, savory, or a mixture of any of them. Each dish has a twist or component from a multitude of places in the world that I have visited and/or experienced with flavors, mixtures, and/ or flavor style. We have layers of flavor and
show love in every bite. Wings, salads, halfpound burgers, catfish, shrimp po’boys, desserts, homemade beverages and more.
Here at Sauced by Will Smith, the love in all aspects of the restaurant sets us apart. Such as being visited at your table by owners and/or the general manager just as fine dining restaurants do. Also, the plating of each dish, being plated with love and attention, sauced to the heavens, and packed with layers of flavor throughout every bite!
Wings, with our signature sauce “The Garrick” on them, our one-half-pound burger, or 100 percent catfish fillets.
It has the small-town feel, but it is growing as fast as any city in Mississippi and Tennessee.

True Medical Testing, LLC
True Medical Testing LLC offers drug testing for prospective employees and other services to keep the Mid-South safe and healthy.
True Medical Testing helps companies provide a safe work environment for their employees. As a Third- Party Administrator (C/TPA) we assist employers with their drug and alcohol testing programs. We manage DOT and Non-DOT testing to help companies stay compliant with policies and regulations. We also provide Consortium services to smaller companies for their random testing. Some other services we provide are background screens, drug testing for individuals, and DOT physicals (call for the schedule). We have a local collection site in Southaven, but offer nationwide service through our network of over 10,000 collection sites. Our software allows you to schedule a test anywhere in the US. We pride ourselves on being a resource on drug testing processes and policies for companies.
