Creating Community By Connecting Neighbors "I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for Me?" Jer 32:27
The Amazing Lion! – Isaac Crane We Thank God it Wasn't His Time M
M
any of you may know this little man; either from a previous article, a neighbor, your church, or you are a friend. Anyone who knows him, is blessed by meeting him. He is a courageous 20 monthold boy who was diagnosed, at 4 months old, with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). At that time, he was given less than a year to live. SMA is a genetic disorder that prevents a child from walking, moving, eating and breathing. There is currently no cure for this genetic disorder. Isaac’s diagnosis is terminal. Given this diagnosis, Jenna, Isaac’s mom, quit her job to stay at home with him full time. This enables Jenna to share her precious moments with Isaac, who requires 24 hour care. Jeremiah, Isaac’s dad, was already a stay at home dad for
Isaac and their 3 year old daughter Natalie. While it has been a blessing to be with Isaac as much as possible, it has come with financial hardship. The community, their church, friends and family have been a huge support. The family is grateful to everyone who has donated time, money, food and prayer! They have needed all. The family set up a “Go Fund Me” account when Isaac was first diagnosed. Although people have been very generous with their donations, the funds are diminishing and the family is struggling. An anonymous family friend is making a plea to anyone who feels called or is able to help financially to go to GoFundMe. com/agbytg. The family is in need of and appreciative of any size donation.

ountain View Fire Rescue reported that Lead custodian Jeff Pfleiger rescued a third grade Mead Elementary student who was choking in the cafeteria. He learned how to give abdominal thrusts by taking a CPR class. "Great work, Mr. Pfleiger!" says the MVFPD on their Facebook page. For more information about CPR/ First Aid classes, contact education@ mvfpd.org. Classes are free for those who live or work in our Fire District! Submitted via www.facebook.com/ MountainViewFireRescue. Photo from same post but taken during an interview by CBS Jennifer Brice. In a post written by Julie Dowen, Luke's mom, she said, "Sweet Luke had a guardian angel watching over him. I was teaching at school that day and they called me in the classroom and I went to him immediately. He was in shock and shaking from the adrenaline... My parents came right up and got him. We all just loved on him that day....he is doing awesome and we thank God it wasn't his time."
This carpet is lush and soft and my spilled coffee puddled on top for easy clean up with a paper towel and water, plus the install went smoothly and professionally.
