Affordable Co-working Office Space Frederick Business Owner Lori Hill Publishes Book
By Jennie Poppenger
It was the most challenging time to start a new business in the history of challenging times to start a new business! In March of 2020, Dennis and Diane Mapes of Thornton were excited to open their new flexible workspace franchise of Office Evolution in Northglenn. They’d been planning this for years. But in March of 2020, Diane found herself mostly alone in a very large, mostly empty building. She started networking through the local Rotary Club and through the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce. Slowly but surely, the offices started to fill. Their tenacity paid off and Diane has served on the Franchise Advisory Council and was named 2021 Rookie Business winner by the City of Northglenn. Today there are only a few vacant offices, waiting for the next businesses that want to be part of the thriving atmosphere. There are other companies offering leased Private Offices and co-working, but when the Mapes found Office Evolution, they knew it was the business model they loved and wanted to create. The founder is from Hawaii and understood hospitality and determined to create a warm, friendly,
yet professional culture he called Ohana (Hawaiian for family). There are 76 Office Evolutions around the country and 13 up and down the I-25 corridor here in Colorado. The Northglenn location is at 120th and Grant – just one block East of I-25 at 120th and has 44 Private offices, as well as shared workspace. The two conference rooms are open to anyone – not just members. The Aspen conference room seats 12 and has a gorgeous view of the Rocky Mountains from the 5th floor. There are two Day Offices available as well. Their office is by far the busiest in the building – with lawyers, therapists, contractors, a security company, financial planners, and a myriad of other businesses. Today they continue with a spirit of hospitality and have become part owners of 8 other locations. They welcome you to stop by for a tour and check out their many Office Evolution locations.
