Dakota AG Innovations’ Power of Foam Wall Unit installed inside a wash bay.
Dakota AG Innovations was invited by Genie to introduce Dakota AG’s Power of Foam at Genie’s mid-year sales meeting July 19 to 21, 2022, at Genie’s North Bend, Wash., location.
The afternoon of July 19 was spent introducing and training Genie’s regional parts managers (RPMs) on the Power of Foam and Dakota Shine product lines. Participants were given a hands-on tutorial of the products, and the Genie team will be equipped with a kit to give onsite demonstrations when visiting customers interested in learning more about the Dakota Ag product capabilities
Lynn Odland, president, and Jon Odland, vice president, business development, from S.D.-based Dakota AG Innovations were invited by the Genie Global Leadership and North America Sales Team. Those in attendance included Armando Betancourt, director — parts AWP for the Americas; Logan Wood, product manager of Genie parts and service; and 25 others representing Genie leadership and regional parts managers/sales team members. Dakota AG is working with Genie to provide its customers and end-users with a more effective, efficient and proven way to clean their fleet. According to Genie, with these new product lines, equipment owners can save time and effort by cleaning and degreasing and can restore faded paint to its original color and luster, maximizing their asset’s value. “We are excited to broaden our ‘All Makes Product Offering,’” said Wood. “By offering Dakota Shine and Dakota wash solutions, we can help our customers clean and maintain their fleet and keep their equipment looking its best. “The Dakota Ag products will reduce the time to clean machines and maintain overall appearance of the products. This will improve turn-around times to get machines back on rent and retain higher asset value, supporting Genie’s commitment to helping equipment owners maximize the value they realize from their fleet.”
Dakota Shine and Dakota Wash are now available through Genie distribution channels.

About Power of Foam
The Power of Foam is a foam cleaning system that utilizes Dakota AG’s Dakota Wash HD foaming cleaner and degreaser. It is user friendly, biodegradable and will not interfere with wastewater recycling systems, according to the company.
The Power of Foam consists of a wall-mounted and air-operated foamer that sits above a refillable 55-gal. drum of Dakota Wash HD. The package includes a 70-ft. hose with a wand that will apply a layer of foam. Once applied, the foam penetrates, encapsulates and releases accumulated grease, grime and oil buildup. Let the foam sit and work for a couple minutes then rinse.
Dakota Wash HD also will neutralize corrosion in battery compartments. By applying the foam and letting it do the work, the chances of damaging electronics and circuitry will be reduced, the company said.
Genie also is offering to its customers Dakota Shine, a product that has been rehabilitating faded paint worldwide for more than 20 years.
“Our products are proven in the construction, auction and rental world,” said Odland. “It is our goal to get the Power of Foam with Dakota Wash HD into the hands of those that could really benefit from it. We feel that with Genie stocking our products in their distribution centers across North America, the Genie North America sales team will be able to provide our products to their customers and endusers with a higher level of service, while providing better accessibility, ease of ordering and faster turnaround times.” CEG

Sandvik Chooses Cat HVO Engines to Reduce CO2 Emissions
The Cat C-Series engines supplied to Sandvik Mobile Crushers and Screeners to power its mining and construction equipment can run on renewable and alternative fuels including hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) certified to EN15940 or ASTM D975.

Caterpillar’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and support for customers during the energy transition to a lower-carbon future means its industrial engines have for many years been capable of running on a range of renewable and alternative fuels*.
Sandvik has successfully completed testing on its range of machines to confirm that they can operate with HVO without modifications to either the engines or the fuel tanks. This helps Sandvik and its customers to reduce the net carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by up to 90 percent compared with conventional diesel, according to the company.
Collaboration With Cat Dealer Finning UK, Ireland
Sandvik is a commercial and industrial equipment supplier, providing leading solutions for the mining, quarrying and construction industries. The company supplies large volumes of mobile crushing and screening equipment that can contribute to CO2 emissions when using traditional diesel fuel.
To make the shift towards a more sustainable business, Sandvik Mobiles decided to invest in HVO as a renewable fuel and turned to Cat dealer Finning UK and Ireland to supply compatible engines.
HVO is a form of renewable synthetic diesel, produced from certified waste fats and oils through hydro-processing. Its performance is similar to regular diesel, but it reduces the carbon footprint associated with operating the engine and can lower nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) under certain conditions.
Its chemical similarity to diesel means that the machine’s power output and uptime are not compromised when introducing HVO as an alternative, and it also can be blended with diesel, the manufacturer said.
Supporting Customer’s
Energy Transition Requirements
“We are focused on developing our products and services to help our customers transition to a lowcarbon economy and fulfill our company’s purpose to help build and power a better and more sustainable world,” said Steve Ferguson, vice president Caterpillar Industrial Power Systems.
“Our Cat dealer Finning offered its expertise throughout the project, sharing its extensive knowledge on engines and fuels to provide Sandvik with all the information it needed,” said Ferguson. “Our Cat C-Series engines give customers the flexibility to use HVO as both a replacement and addition to their conventional diesel fuel, depending on their requirements.”
Sustainability Solutions
Jesper Persson, vice president of Life Cycle Services at Sandvik Mobiles added, “We are committed to using engineering and innovation through all our operations to make the shift towards more sustainable business. With a host of innovations in the pipeline, including electrification of our offering, we are excited to be pioneers in the industry and invest in renewable fuel sources and sustainable rock processing solutions.
“Working alongside Finning to performance engineer the feasibility of HVO means we can data collect and monitor any impact on the performance and output of both new and existing machinery. It’s an exciting step in our contribution to sustainability and we will work together with our customers and suppliers for more productive, safer and innovative solutions.” *Fuels must meet the specifications and characteristics described on cat.com in order to be used in Cat engines and reduce the risk of downtime.

Mazio XL Offers Series of Hydraulic Rock Breakers
The heavy-duty XL Series of hydraulic rock breakers from Port St. Lucie, Fla.-based Mazio Attachments LLC performs in the most demanding applications — from quarries and mining, to tunneling and trenches, to demolition and more.
Designed for carriers from 1 to 140 tons of operating weight — including mini excavators, skid steer loaders, backhoe loaders and excavators — Mazio XL breakers will withstand the brutal conditions faced in these applications, providing reliable performance day in and day out, according to the manufacturer.
Mazio hammers feature a closed case built from 100 percent Hardox steel to protect the body from wear and impact. In addition, a number of standard features also lend to the breakers’ durability, including antiblank-fire technology, which minimizes wear; an energy recovery system that reduces the required oil flow; and the breakers’ double-damping system that results in less vibration.
Variable impact speed and power can be manually tuned using an Allen tool, allowing the operator to adjust the breaker for correct productivity. A lower breaker speed provides greater power, while higher speed reduces the power, depending on the application needs.
All Mazio breakers come with a five-year warranty. They also are available with the company’s vibration-activated digital hour meter, which accurately measures the tool’s operational hours, differentiating from the carrier hours, ultimately providing better tracking for preventative maintenance activities and billable hours.
A 12-year integrated, sealed battery powers the meter as it automatically and autonomously tracks the tool’s impulse during operation, calculating its true work hours. A fiberglass-reinforced heavy-duty rubber case protects the meter from harsh working environments.
Mazio offers six XL breaker models for 30- to 140-ton mining-duty excavators, with tools ranging from 3.4 tons (3 metric tons) in weight and 9.8 ft. (2,980 mm) in length to 11 tons (10 metric tons) in weight and 16.4 ft (5,000 mm) in length. For excavators 11 to 36 tons, five breaker models range from 1 ton (.9 metric tons) and 6.7 ft. (2,050 mm) to 2.6 tons (2.4 metric tons) and 8.7 ft. (2,650 mm).
For compact carriers, there are six breaker models available from 287 lb. (130 kg) and 3.2 ft. (990 mm) to 1,279 lb. (580 kg) and 5.9

Higher Application Diversity for Cone, Impact Crushers
Kleeman’s mobile cone crusher MOBICONE MCO 90(i) EVO2 and the mobile impact crusher MOBIREX MR 110(i) EVO2 can now be fitted with a double-deck post screening unit as an option.
Cone crushers are mainly used in hard stone, impact crushers in soft to mediumhard stone and in recycling. A very high product quality is expected from both plant types. Due to the new optional double-deck post screening unit, it is now also possible, with a single machine — without the use of an additional screening plant — to produce two classified final grain sizes.
Double-Deck Post Screening Unit
Guarantees High Application
Diversity, Flexibility
The large screening surface makes effective screening possible especially for grain sizes below 7/8 in. The discharge height of the fine grain conveyor is designed for a maximum stockpile volume. Oversize grain can be processed in a closed material circuit via a return conveyor.
As an option, the conveyor can be swivelled hydraulically by up to 100 degrees, which also makes side discharge possible. A kidney-shaped stockpile can thus be created manually.
If an application is only to produce one classified final grain size, the post screening unit can simply be used as a single-deck version.
Wind Sifters for Effective Cleaning
As the MOBIREX MR 110(i) EVO2 is frequently used in recycling applications, wind sifters are used here as an option. They provide better material quality because lightweight material (e.g. wood and plastic) contamination is removed from the material, according to the manufacturer. The air flow can be controlled precisely depending on the material, reducing manual sorting work.
The wind sifter can only be used in conjunction with the post screening unit. With the double-deck post screening unit, a second wind sifter can be used as an option for cleaning the medium grain.
