OAIMA Hosts Annual Meeting, Trade Show in Columbus
O
hio Aggregates & Industrial Minerals Association (OAIMA) held its annual meeting and trade show on Nov. 13 and 14 at the Hilton at Easton in Columbus, Ohio. The event opened with a general session with an introduction and comments by OAIMA President Tony Price of National Lime & Stone Company and OAIMA Executive Director Patrick Jacomet. Topics covered during the educational sessions included operator rights and
responsibilities, industry specific work force development and a presentation by Richard Vedder, distinguished professor of economics at Ohio University. The trade show portion of the event featured displays by local equipment dealers, national manufacturers, and product and service providers presenting information on the latest new equipment innovations and product advances. A reception sponsored by OAIMA and Show Exhibitors followed Thursday’s events and included an OA-
PAC Live Auction conducted by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneer Fred Vilsmeier. OAIMA is an Ohio trade association representing the interests of the state’s mining operations, with the exception of coal mining.
