Paul Bunyan Show Draws Strong Crowds, Industry Support

The annual Paul Bunyan Show held Oct. 3-5, 2025, once again drew strong crowds to the Guernsey County Fairgrounds in Cambridge, Ohio.

Three days of live demonstrations, new equipment displays and networking opportunities celebrated the forestry, construction and land-management industries.

Presented by the Ohio Forestry Association, the show featured dozens of exhibitors representing equipment, tools and technology for logging, sawmilling and land clearing. Attendees enjoyed

hands-on demonstrations of grinders, chippers, mulchers and loaders, along with safety training and educational seminars.

Outdoor exhibits offered continuous activity, from log-skidding and treefelling competitions to high-horsepower machinery demonstrations. Inside the exhibitor halls, manufacturers and dealers connected with contractors, landowners and forestry professionals discussing equipment needs and project goals for the upcoming season.

The Ohio CAT team brought a festive fall touch to their display, complete with seasonal decor that drew attendees to the impressive equipment lineup, showcasing the company’s commitment to customer engagement and community spirit throughout Ohio. onMain Innovation Breaks Ground On Its First Building in Dayton

A decade in the making, the onMain Innovation District celebrated a milestone Sept. 26, with the groundbreaking for its first commercial building, the Think Dayton building. The event marks the beginning of vertical construction on the 38-acre former Montgomery County Fairgrounds site.

“This building is more than just steel and glass; it’s a transformational project built on the power of

Industry Support Is Strong for Annual Paul Bunyan Show

The Bandit Industries, EarthworX Equipment and Bobcat Enterprises teams welcomed a full crowd to their outdoor booth at the Paul Bunyan Show. Vendors and attendees alike noted steady traffic throughout the weekend, with strong interest in compact equipment, attachments and support machinery. Many exhibitors reported quality conversations with both repeat customers and first-time buyers.

The Paul Bunyan Show continues to be a key regional event for Ohio’s equipment and forestry communities, providing a platform to showcase products, strengthen relationships and highlight the value of sustainable forest management across the Midwest.

OAIMA Updates Its Speaker Lineup; Details Meeting, Show

The Ohio Aggregates and Industrial Minerals Association (OAIMA) announced updates to its 2025 Annual Meeting and Trade Show, taking place Nov. 13–14, 2025, at the Hilton Columbus in Easton, Ohio. This two-day event is one of the largest gatherings of aggregates, industrial minerals and construction materials professionals in Ohio, offering attendees an invaluable opportunity to network, learn and engage with peers and industry leaders.

Speaker Lineup

OAIMA announced an adjustment to its program schedule following a scheduling change. Vivek Ramaswamy will now appear as the closing speaker on Nov. 14, in the Hilton’s Grand Ballroom. Known for his entrepreneurial leadership and national perspective on business and policy, Ramaswamy will deliver remarks that explore innovation, leadership and the future of American industry.

In addition, OAIMA has added Lt. Col. Steve Russell as the luncheon speaker on Nov. 13. Russell’s extensive experience — as a soldier, author, former U.S. Congressman, small businessman and pastor — brings a unique and inspiring view on leadership and perseverance. A decorated veteran, Russell led the mission that resulted in the capture of Saddam Hussein, an experience he shares in his book “We Got Him! A Memoir of the Hunt and Capture of Saddam Hussein.”

His session will focus on teamwork, resilience and effective leadership — skills that translate across all industries.

Dayton’s onMain Facility Will Bring Economic Growth

step in the vision to create a vibrant district for research, technology, workforce development and economic growth in the region.”

The Think Dayton building, a five-story, 120,000-sq.-ft. facility, will serve as the cornerstone for the district, attracting new investment and jobs in research and technology as well as a hub where academia, government and private industry will work together. The project represents a total investment of more than $70 million, including a foundational $35 million from the state of Ohio’s Innovation Hub Program.

The building’s design, inspired by Dayton’s aviation heritage, will focus on digital transformation technologies and house flexible office and research space to support emerging companies, university partnerships and industry collaboration. Operations inside the Think Dayton building will include a digital transformation initiative, in collaboration with the University of Dayton Research Institute, that promotes solutions for the U.S. Air Force and other partners, while providing hands-on learning opportunities for students and workforce development.

onMain is a partnership between the University of Dayton and Premier Health. The development of the site was made possible with support from the state of Ohio, JobsOhio, Montgomery County, the city of Dayton and Dayton Public Schools.

This groundbreaking follows extensive infrastructure and utility work completed this summer, which prepared the site for building construction. The Think Dayton building will be constructed and completed along with two new community spaces, with a projected opening in 2027. 
