Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at Construction Equipment Guide. As a Sales Representative, you will sell print and digital advertising solutions within the Midwest territory. Your primary focus will be promoting our comprehensive advertising packages to the region's construction equipment manufacturers, dealers, and related businesses.

This role has an existing client base and room for growth. Our current sales rep is retiring after 20 years with the company. The chosen candidate will work with the existing sales rep to meet existing customers and learn the territory.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets by effectively prospecting, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities within the assigned Midwest territory.

Business Development: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to identify their advertising needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Product Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of Construction Equipment Guide's print and digital advertising offerings to effectively communicate the value proposition to potential customers.

Territory Management: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for the Midwest territory, including identifying key accounts, prioritizing prospects, and managing the sales pipeline.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive offerings, and market developments to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.

Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records, activity reports, and forecasts to track sales performance and provide regular updates to the sales management team.

Travel to industry trade shows, dealer/manufacturer visits, and job site visits.

Be able to conduct an interview and take photos for stories about your customers and contractors.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the advertising, media, or construction equipment industry.

Territory Knowledge: (BONUS) Strong knowledge of the Midwest construction equipment market, including key players, industry events, and trends.

Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and present information to clients, both verbally and in written form.

Relationship Building: Proven track record of developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships based on trust and exceptional service.

Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage time effectively to meet sales targets and deadlines.

Technical Aptitude: Proficient in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools to manage leads, track sales activities, and generate reports.

Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Midwest territory as needed.
