Your boiler’s flow setting controls the temperature of the water is when it leaves your boiler. It’s default setting is usually too high. 8. Be Bright With Your Lights

Lighting makes up around 11% of a typical power bill. LEDs use 70-80% less electricity – so when it's time to replace those bulbs, go LED. Making sure you switch off the lights when you leave the room can save a further £20 per year.

The cost of updating your central heating system will vary depending on the size of your home and how many radiators you need. If you need to connect to the gas grid, you will need to know how far you are from the nearest gas main and how much it will cost to install a gas meter. Some providers won't charge for these, but others will. It depends on the company's policy at the time of installation.

Some houses will already have radiators fitted and have the correct pipework installed. While others will require a complete upgrade if you have an old system, at best, you might need to flush the pipes to remove sludge; if this is the case, we will advise upon our free quote and survey.

On average, for a typical three-bedroom house in the UK, you'll find that the cost of central heating installation will be about £5000. For this, you'll get seven radiators and a 28kW boiler.

Today in Prenton CH42, we converted a traditional open vented system to a premium quality combination boiler and removed the conventional heat only boiler. We removed the header water tanks in the loft, so now there is no risk of water leaks as the water tanks are gone. We removed the hot water immersion tank from the landing, creating more space for our customers. We removed the old heat only boiler and old hot water timer and thermostat in the hall and installed an easy to use the timer on the boiler.
