Welcome to the 2023 football season. This season marks my 23rd year in this great profession and I can say without a doubt that this is the most excited that I have ever been. I absolutely cannot wait to watch this team, and everyone associated with it, come together on Friday nights. The tradition of success at Consol is second to none and we look to build on that rich tradition.

From my first day on the job our athletes have done nothing but impress. They have bought in to everything that we are wanting to instill. They are hungry for success and have put in the work to prove it. Whether it be boot camp, off-season, spring football, or Champion’s Camp, they have answered the bell. They love each other and it shows. The hard work and the dedication to team will be what propels the 2023 Tigers to success.

This team, and our program will be built upon our core values of Service, Honor, Process, and Excellence. These pillars will be a part of everything we do in the community, in the classroom, and on the field. We will put others first and we will continually strive for greatness. Along with the four core values we also have a team culture defined by 3 simple letters…DYJ. Simply put, we will “ Do Your Job ” in all aspects of life.

I know that our stands will be packed on Friday nights to watch the 2023 SOUL’D OUT version of the Tigers. From my 1st day in February, these young men have poured their heart and SOUL into a new coaching

staff, a new vision, and a new culture. This fall they will sell out on the field for their teammates. They will sell out in the classroom not to just get by but to achieve excellence. They will sell out to leave the Consol community a better place.

Keep in mind that the 2023 Consol Tiger football season will, at some point, come to an end. The lights will fade and young people will suddenly become grown. In our program, we measure success not by wins and losses but rather by the young people these Tigers become. We focus on knowing and exhibiting the value of hard work, along with understanding dedication and what can be accomplished with perseverance. We recognize and celebrate the value of others and their contributions. Most importantly, we develop a servant’s heart. These young people will leave A&M Consolidated High School after the lights of Friday night fade, but they will leave with the tools to be great at whatever they decide to pursue and will ultimately be winners in the game of life.

Finally, but most importantly, THANK YOU cannot be said enough. Our program would not continue to grow and excel without the hard work, dedication, and tireless support of so many in the Consol community. When you pull the curtain back, you see the hearts and hands of many doing what it takes to lift up our kids. Thank you again for your support of Consol Tiger Football and every student involved in our program. We are grateful and will never take lightly the responsibility to represent our community in only the best way we know how, the Consol Tiger way.

Welcome to the 2023-2024 season! We are ready for our Tigers to make a loud roar through the jungle and leave their mark. During the off-season, our Tigers have been focused on a “ do your job mentality ” to prepare for an incredible year. Working hard, understanding their responsibilities, and holding themselves accountable are areas of focus to help our Tigers push beyond what they think is possible. As Tiger fans, I encourage you to be part of the Consol Connection and help cheer them to victory on Friday nights.

Our theme for the year is the Consol Connection. As a Consol family, we will be intentional in cultivating connections and inspiring greatness in every student we encounter. When we are able to positively connect with others, we are able to help others thrive and be their best self!

We are thankful for all of our student organizations: Band, Choir, Cheerleaders, Maroon Men, Bengal Belles, Student Council, and so many others, who support our athletic teams and represent Consol in a topnotch manner. Moreover, we are appreciative of the leadership and dedication of Coach Schmidt to Tiger Athletics, and we are grateful to all of our coaches, trainers, and support staff for their commitment to our student-athletes as well.

The students, athletes, staff, teachers, parents, and the community feel a sense of Tiger pride and passion about opportunities that impact our student-athletes. We look forward to your support and urge you to catch the Tiger Spirit.

Dear Tiger Fans,

What an honor it is to have been selected as the new Superintendent of Schools for College Station ISD. As someone who has spent the last 10 years as a Superintendent not too far from here, I am familiar with the tremendous amount of success CSISD students and staff achieve each year. Already one of the top school districts in our region and in the state, I look forward to helping those in our district strive to be even more successful in the coming years. Our students and staff work very hard to put themselves in a position to achieve at a high level and I applaud that work ethic.

I feel like the district is heading in a positive direction with the implementation of the Strategic Plan, which was developed in 2021 and has been the cornerstone for a common path into the future for CSISD. As the new superintendent, I look to bring a new perspective to find ways we can improve as a system, to bring a new energy to the community, and provide resources for all of our stakeholders to realize even more accomplishments.

For the first few months, I plan to meet as many people as possible, and spend a lot of time listening to students, staff, and the community. I am excited to attend events throughout the district and witness the positive impact our schools have on our community.

I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish in the 2023-24 school year and I look forward to meeting you.

Hello everyone,

My name is Amy Chae and I have the privilege of serving as the 2023-2024 Student Body President! I’m so excited to support all of Consol’s wonderful programs which give our students meaning and purpose throughout their years in high school. Consol has such a wonderful and welcoming community within the school but also reaches out into the families of the students.

Our school excels in all aspects; whether through sports, academics, or competitions, Consol thrives. However, this would not be possible without the cheerleaders behind all of our students. Families, friends, and the school itself are what drive our students to achieve the greatness our school has come to represent and that motivation is absolutely priceless.
