The Urthaler is the first wood-design hotel in the Alps and as such sets new standards. It consists of 100% wood and is therefore free from toxins and hazardous substances because we want to return to our roots and live in harmony with nature.

The quantity of wood used re-grows in south Tyrol every 2 days.

This pure wood breathes, warms, filters, fragrances and has deeply relaxing effects. Combined with the carefully selected and high quality materials, the Urthaler creates an atmosphere which encourages guests to take a deep breath and relax. Health and well-being go hand-in-hand here.

Access to the Seiser Alm is limited to protect this natural splendour. Hotel guests are granted special approval.

A unique paradise opens out at the healthy 1,850 m altitude – shrouded in a white coating in winter. The hotel is located right by the ski lifts, pistes, crosscountry trails and winter footpaths. Explore the SELLARONDA – THE ski tour in the Dolomites with 40 km of ski routes on offer.

Few things offer as much pleasure as good food. Chef Marco Knepper combines traditional South Tyrolean dishes with international cuisine with some surprisingly creative results and numerous unique interpretations.

We focus on healthy preparation, local produce and socialising. As hotel guests, you can enjoy exceptional cuisine with Mediterranean highlights as part of the Urthaler half-board offer.

A BEAUTIFUL WELCOME. We would like to invite you on a journey through a special living landscape.

You will find a place to dream and relax in our unique rooms and suites. The walls are made from wood and glass, the floors from wood or natural stone and the carpets are hand-woven. The walls, ceilings and floors in the rooms and suites are made from unprocessed spruce and larch wood which has been felled in tune with the phases of the mood, making it particularly resistant.

The furnishings have been skilfully combined with valuable construction materials and carefully selected accessories to complete the overall image.

The extra-large natural rubber mattresses work well with the specially

woven organic bed linen and mild fragrance of the wood to create a soothing and calming effect and ensure a deep and relaxing night’s sleep. Guests are provided with a traditional key to their room.

Uncompromising quality and ongoing development are important to us. We have therefore created new and luxury well-being rooms in our own individual and unique style. Even more space to relax, recuperate and enjoy your stay.
