On the Top... Auf den 35 abwechslungsreichen Pistenkilometern am schneesicheren Schnalstaler Gletscher ziehen aktive Skifahrer vom Herbst bis in den späten Frühling hinein ihre Schwünge. Die höchste Südtiroler Seilbahn bringt Sie in nur sechs Minuten bequem auf 3.212 m.ü.M hinauf. Lungo i 35 chilometri di piste del ghiacciaio della Val Senales, dove la neve non manca mai, gli appassionati dello sci si possono dedicare al loro amato sport dall’autunno alla primavera inoltrata. La funivia più alta dell’Alto Adige vi porterà comodamente e in soli sei minuti a 3.212 m s.l.m. Between early autumn and late spring, skiers find varied ski slopes totaling 35 km in the snow-sure glacier skiing area of Senales Valley. After a rapid descent, a six-minute ride on the Senales cableway takes skiers back uphill to an altitude of 3,212 m a.s.l.

...For the Top Am Gletscher nahe dem Fundort von Ötzi trainiert die WeltElite, die Trainingsmannschaften bereiten sich in hochalpiner Umgebung auf die Rennsaison vor. Profi-Wintersportlern stehen hier bis zu 40 Trainingsläufe sowie eine Langlaufloipe für das Höhentraining zur Verfügung. Sul ghiacciaio vicino al punto di ritrovamento di Ötzi si allenano i campioni del mondo e le squadre nazionali svolgono i loro allenamenti in quota per la stagione delle corse. I professionisti degli sport invernali possono sfruttare fino a 40 percorsi di allenamento e una pista da fondo per l’allenamento in quota. Real Snow Fun Auf der 5 bis max. 10 km langen Hochjoch-Loipe auf rund 3.000 m.ü.M. stimmen sich Langläufer und Biathleten aller Nationen von Mitte September bis Mitte Dezember auf die neue Rennsaison ein. Ruhiger geht es auf der 2 km langen Loipe auf der Hochebene Lazaun zu. Rasant und kurvenreich führt die 3,3 km lange Lazaunrodelbahn talwärts. Pures Wintervergnügen für die ganze Familie! Sulla pista Giogo Alto a 3.000 m s.l.m. e lunga da 5 a 10 km, fondisti e atleti di biathlon di tutte le nazioni si preparano da metà settembre a metà dicembre per la nuova stagione sportiva. Sulla pista lunga 2 km dell’altopiano di Lazaun il ritmo invece è meno concitato. La pista da slittino di Lazaun, lunga 3,3 km, propone una discesa a valle divertente e piena di curve. Piacere invernale allo stato puro per tutta la famiglia! And the sun-drenched Lazaun plateau has a leisurely 2 km cross-country trail, where families and groups can enjoy the 3.3 km long Lazaun sled run as well. The windy downhill run but pure winter fun!

Ice & Ötzi 1991 wurde am Tisenjoch unterhalb des Similaun im Schnalstaler Gletschergebiet die über 5.000 Jahre alte Mumie Ötzi entdeckt. Der sensationelle Fund in einem der faszinierendsten Täler der Alpen belegt, dass die Menschen bereits im Neolithikum an dieser Stelle über den Alpenhauptkamm zogen. Nel 1991, sul Giogo di Tisa, poco sotto il Similaun, fu rinvenuta la mummia Ötzi, risalente a oltre 5.000 anni prima. Il sensazionale reperto attesta che già nel Neolitico l’uomo era giunto in questa regione dell’arco alpino. In 1991, the 5,000 year-old mummy, later nicknamed Ötzi, was discovered in the ice at the Tisenjoch mountain ridge in Senales Valley, just below the Similaun peak. This sensational discovery in one of the most spectacular valleys of the Alps proved that humans had already crossed the main Alpine ridge as far back as in the Neolithic era.

Several paramedics and an emergency doctor are employed around the clock in order to provide rescue services, first aid and also to help in preventing accidents before they occur. In the event that an unpleasant emergency situation arises or if you suffer an injury, our on-piste rescue team will immediately appear to administer first aid and appropriate care. However, apart from this unique service all guests are still asked to take care on the slopes and to ski according to your own skill level!
