as part of the South Tyrol Gourmet Festival
Thanks to twenty grape varieties and seven different winegrowing zones, Alto Adige signifies great variety at a high level of quality like no other winegrowing region in Italy.
From June 2 to 5, 2011, both wine experts and wine lovers from within Italy and abroad will now have the opportunity to get to know the latest Alto Adige winegrowing scene in its full breadth within the framework of the “South Tyrol Gourmet Festival”, which is being held for the very first time. This has now been made possible through the consolidation of two established wine events, namely, the traditional Bolzano Wine Tasting and the International Gewürztraminer Symposium
While nearly all top Alto Adige wines will be available for tasting at the “Grand Tasting Forum” in Maretsch Castle, a top-quality program surrounding Alto Adige wine will round out this first South Tyrol Gourmet Festival both in the provincial capital of Bolzano and in Termeno, the birthplace of Gewürztraminer. www.altoadigewines.com/winetasting
