Playa de Muro, on Majorca’s northeast coast, has successfully made the leap from fishing village to holiday centre without losing its laid back appeal. It’s surrounded by a national park and is roughly split into two areas – the quietly secluded Alcudia Pins and Las Gaviotas, which has most of the pubs and bars. The place is also conveniently close to Alcudia, which comes with a picturesque marina and an historic old town. The Albufera Nature Park is the largest and most important wetland in Majorca. The Iberostar group have more than sixty years experience as leaders in international tourism. Situated on Playa de Muro Beach, this stylish four star hotel is set within the Albufera Natural Park by Alcudia Bay. Hotel cuisine consists of produce from the Coast of Majorca, combined with international cuisine served buffet style and hosts live cooking demonstrations too.

Trips and Tours, potential places to visit include: Alcudia - very pretty old town with Templar walls and roman ruins, the market, shopping, bars, boat trips, brewery, neo gothic church.

Palma - hop on bus, cathedral, medieval quarter, shopping, lovely restaurants, marina, roman baths, Almudaina Palace.

Pollensa - Sunday market at Placa Major, boat rides from the harbour, 365 Calvari Steps (walk from the centre to the little church at the top with beautiful views of the town and surrounding area. ( can be done by car) pretty RC Church.

Ladies Day Out - aloe vera farm, pearl factory, winery.

And hopefully a food tasting experience and a cocktail making event.
