BOS with its base in South Wales is now a subsidiary or GE and we are continue to grow by establishing Eventos Garantizados SL and expanding our new offices in Yecla, a small town in the Wine region of Murcia Spain. We are more concerned than ever by the UK government's handling of Brexit and the recent pandemic and believe that it is prudent to be able to trade within Europe as well as the UK to protect our business and our clients best long term interests.

GUARANTEED EVENTS Has been successfully organising Chess events across the UK for the Four Nations Chess League, English Chess Federation, British University Chess Association, National Chess Junior Squad, British Chess Problem Society, English Primary School Chess Association to name just a few.

BRIDGE OVERSEAS Has been organising bridge congress events for many of the home bridge unions as well as bridge holidays since its incorporation way back in 1993, we look forward to continuing to work with the Scottish and Welsh Bridge Unions and continue to organise the Irish Bridge Festivals. BOS will continue to be a bonded travel buisiness with ATOL protection that will manage all our flight bookings and travel services as well as the English Chess Federation Team Travel around the world.

BOOK NOW PAY ON ARRIVAL GE has for many years offered a unique booking system that allowed our Chess customers to book UK events without paying a deposit and only being charged after they arrive at the venue. This has so many advantages over the traditional booking processes and in light of recent events we have adopted a similar booking procedure for all our leisure holidays and events in the UK and abroad.

FINANCIAL SECURITY We continue to be in a strong financial position, despite the recent devastating disruption to the travel industry. There have been issues with the UK travel regulations since the last changes made in 2018.

We have been aware of them, many other travel firms have not. Plenty of travel agents are citing this pandemic as an excuse not to follow the existing rules. We have not done that, in fact our call centre has remained manned and open and we have acted swiftly to the needs of our customers through this turbulent time. Neither have we furlough all our staff and expected you to suffer and inferior service.

UNCERTAIN TIMES AHEAD There is little doubt that the months ahead will present more challenges for us all and that is why we have worked very hard in recent months to get our new booking systems ready for all our future holidays. This new system will now protect us both if we are unable to go ahead with any planned holidays due to circumstance out of our control, ie FCO flights bans caused by an escalation in the pandemic. You will not be charged for your accommodation if we can not travel and we will have your leisure fee held in a non trading account so we can facilitate this refund quickly, within 14 business days.

Our new terms and conditions can be found online and we will be sending a copy to all our customers in the coming weeks if you have not already received a them.

LOOKING FOWARD You can continue to book with us for future holidays and events with the reassurance that our clients come first. With BOS and GE, two experienced and secure companies now working together in the Mind Sport arena we are excited to be expanding our holidays from not just offering well organised and fun Bridge and Chess, but now also Points and Duplicate Poker, Whist, Canasta and a range of additional Mind Sports and games throughout the day. We have already developed Family Active Mind holidays , featuring Chess, Bridge and Poker and offer the same on selected adult only holidays. FACE TO FACE BRIDGE We are of course keen for our holidays to start again as soon as possible, however we are in no rush to do so if this means taking unnecessary risks. Life, you may say is one big risk, and I would agree with you. However, we are taking this seriously and no expense will be spared in helping us to get back to enjoying playing the great game of Bridge face to face as it was intended. We do have all the PPE and Bridge equipment required to run social distanced holidays, however we are hoping that once we are vaccinated there may well be no need for this.

SAFETY FIRST If there is any escalation in the virus numbers or other factors that impact our ability to deliver a safe and enjoyable holiday prior to our expected arrival, We will not hesitate to cancel the holiday. If we believe the hotel's procedures are not fit for our purpose then the holiday will not take place.

SINGLES All our holidays are hosted and have at least one bridge director and bridge playing host. So whether you are a single player or traveller you will always be assured of a playing partner and will be made very welcome. Hotels in general will limit the numbers of bedrooms available for sole use and can charge a hefty supplement. We do try where possible to reduce this cost and encourage singles to book early to avoid disappointment.

BEGINNERS/LEARNERS Our Bridge holidays offer main sessions for bridge club standard players, but you can join any of our holidays as a beginner or improver. We have separate sections and bridge rooms for relaxed and social bridge players. These places are limited however so please do contact us to find out more.

GROUPS You can book any of the published dates in this brochure subject to availability and if you have ten or more people we can offer a small discount. You can also choose a location anywhere around the world and we will happily organise a holiday where you want to go and when. If you represent a club or a group we can organise a bespoke holiday package or event just for you.

FLIGHTS Bridge Overseas Ltd continues to hold its own ATOL license and is bonded by the Travel Trust Association. We can book your flights for you through our own flight booking systems, saving you time and also being able to provide you with printed and electronic flight tickets and boarding cards. If you would prefer to do this yourselves but need a little help, we will be more than happy to point you in the right direction, just call us on the numbers above.

CANCELLATIONS BOOK NOW PAY ON ARRIVAL We have recently improved our cancellation terms for our UK holidays to help those that may need to cancel a holiday at short notice. You can now cancel your UK holiday booking with us up to 29 days prior with NO loss of deposit, and 49 days for overseas bookings. After this you may incur some cancellation fees, however we will always do our very best to resell your booking to avoid this. If you have someone that will take your place then we will name change your booking without any additional fee up to seven days before the start.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS Private group airport transfers are included in the price of our overseas holidays for the main advertised flying days only and to the nearby named destination airport. Alternative dates, airports and or special transfer requirements may require an additional fee. Please always check these details with us first and book your accommodation before committing to your flights or other travel arrangements.

BRIDGE PROGRAMME Unless otherwise stated our bridge holidays will all have electric scoring, pre-dealt boards and hand records available for the main evening sessions. With interesting seminars and or morning workshops followed by morning bridge. EBU master points are awarded for all applicable sessions with high street gift vouchers and bridge pens awarded as prizes. Standard bridge holidays are licensed by the EBU, Social, Relaxed, Rubber and Chicago holidays are not. Our UK bridge breaks include half board or full board accommodation, with a welcome drinks reception on arrival. The scores are produced quickly after each session so you can take these with you to the bar and they are uploaded to our site on Bridgewebs. e&oe
