Golf Miguel Angel Jimenez Golf Academy Well-known highly rated golf course with a clubhouse, a cafe & bar selling tapas. Not too challenging and fairly flat we can play 9 holes or go around twice. Golf Torrequebrada. This emblematic course was founded in 1976 and designed by José Gancedo, known as the Picasso of Golf. Its main characteristics are its beauty and the diversity of design. A fun course with 18 holes that is a true test for all types of players. The diversity of the fairways, the large size of the greens and their mobility, the numerous strategically located lakes and bunkers, make this a true test and fun for all types of players. Along the route, the more than one hundred types of trees provide extensive vegetation reminiscent of a subtropical jungle. Anyone that fancies playing golf and would like a bit more information can call Simon, there are several local courses and we will arrange transfers and a spot of lunch to be included in the prices.

Short Mat Indoor and Outdoor Bowls We have use of the outdoor short mat bowls facility just across the road from the hotel and will arrange sessions throughout the fortnight for those that want to play. We have all new equipment so juts bring some sensible shoes. There are some steps up to the playing area so it is not suitable for those that have walking difficulties. However we also have indoor short mat bowls equipment on site and that will be also made available during our stay and this can be set up in our entrainment room that has easy access for all.

This is a cracking hotel right on the beach front and next to Puerto Marina and with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants immediately around the hotel. We have secured the main function room for our 14-night stay which has a large stage area, so that will really work well for bridge sessions and a party or two. We will also have full board accommodation with drinks included with our evening meals.
Visit Benalmádena, unique castle (Castillo de Colomares), plazas, baroque church with sea views. There’s a park (Parque Rústico El Retamar) with Buddhist monument and temple. There is a butterfly centre (Mariposario) and a huge park (Parque de la Paloma). Nearby red Islamic castle. Paseo Marítimo (seafront) and beaches. Eagles park on the top of the mountain, you have to take the funicular to get there. TORREMOLINOS old monuments around the town, big shopping street near the beach, really beautiful old house (Casa de los Navajas), huge shopping centre, huge parque De la batería, Japanese gardens, church, car museum, with really old and famous cars. The fair starts on the 29th of September and it’s considered a National Interest (Romería de San Miguel). RONDA they have the hand of Santa Teresa. It’s an official relic, a glove covered in gold and jewellery that contains her hand. The city is crossed by a river so it has an enormous bridge in between. Old market street, a monastery, pretty house-museum with good views (Casa de San Juan Bosco), a convent, like 8 big churches of different architectural styles, nice town hall, a castle, an Arabic style house perfectly conserved, a palace which is now the museum of the city, wine museum, haunting museum, BALCONES in a garden where you can look at the big canyon (Jardín de Cuenca), roman theatre, Arabic baths. MIJAS you can travel in a donkey taxi, chapel built on the rock of the mountain next to a viewpoint, miniature cars museum, big and pretty plaza, churches, amazing gardens around the old town walls, house-museum with recreation of old house, bakery, bodega and oil manufactory. Two rivers cross this place, housecaves, more chapels, exhibition and shop of Spanish craftwork, shopping centre, second hand market on Sundays, beaches, NERJA, old city centre, big balcony in front of the sea (Balcón de Europa), important churches, convent, aqueduct, pretty caves with stalactites, beaches. FRIGILIANA, archaeological museum, palace, the only honey from caña factory in Europe, beautiful old streets, viewpoint, castle, churches, little chapel, botanic garden, their own beer.
Both Lindsey and I have stayed at this hotel and we can tell you that the staff are super friendly, food is really good, and the bar is excellent, with a good range of drinks and happy hour every day.
