Have you ever met someone and right away you felt a God-connection to them? If not, then you haven't met our 'Member in the Spotlight', Elder Earl Mosley! Upon meeting him and his lovely wife, Marie, for the first time, it was apparent that this man had a spirit that I wanted my spirit to be connected to. And when I found out the relationship between him and our beloved member, the late Mother Betty Calloway, it all made sense. It was like seeing her loving kindness through her brother. Elder Mosley has a way of making you feel appreciated and is ever-ready with a compliment on a job well-done. Editor Elder Mosley is the last of eleven children born during the union of the late Edward Mosley and Pauline Mosley Craft . He was born on April 22, and is now the only living sibling. Beside Mother Betty Calloway who was a longtime, faithful member of First Union, two of his brothers were also known to First Union; the late Deacon Paul Mosley and Deacon Eddie Mosley.

1999, he received his license to preach, and is currently a part of First Union’s Ministerial Staff, along with being the bass guitarist for all of the choirs of The ‘U’. Some of his hobbies include playing the bass guitar, spending time with his family, and reaching his brothers and sisters in Christ by preaching God’s Word.

Elder Mosley has been married Elder Mosley states that to his beautiful wife, Marie, for "although I left First Union for a over fifty years. Together they while, in 2016 the Lord brought have one daughter, two sons, me back to where it all started ELDER EARL & MARIE MOSLEY and six grandchildren: five boys and I am so glad He did!" and one girl. In 1958, he became a member of the gospel singing And so are we, Elder Mosley! group, the ‘Spiritual Wonders’ and in 1967 the gospel group gained national recording artists status. In 1996, under the leadership of Min. Sampson, Elder Mosley was called by God to preach to His people. In - 16 -

Sympathies are extended to First Union's Deacon Bernard & Johnnie Reese and Brenda Reese-Brown in the passing of their sister and sister-in-law, Mertis Wedlow, who passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019. Mrs. Wedlow was a resident of Fontana, California, and lived to be ninety-three years young! Please remember to keep the entire Reese family lifted in prayer during their time of bereavement.

Sympathies are extended to First Union's Dorothy & Deacon Michael Hudgins and family and to Minnie Riggins and family in the passing of their aunt, Sister Mary Riley, who transitioned from this life on Friday, February 1, 2019. Mrs. Riley was eulogized on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Riley, a resident of St. Petersburg, FL, was a very active member of her Church and community, which included working in a leadership position with Adult Ushers. Please keep those left behind to cherish her memories lifted up in prayer.
