This is Susie Nightingale. She may look like a stranger, but you may know her from her book reviews published on tscpl.org through our Review New Books @ Your Library program. She encourages you to join in on the fun. Participants select from newly released books that they can keep (What’s not to like about a free book?!). They read and write book reviews for tscpl.org. Susie says its benefits are twofold: It gives her a writing outlet, and it provides members of the community a place to read reviews of what she calls an “intriguing mix” of fiction and non-fiction. “It benefits me because I read books that I wouldn’t have otherwise read,” she said. “It broadens my scope, and I was ready for a change.” Susie says she’s grown as a person through her participation and encourages others to come grow with her.
