This month at our Dolgeville Connected, our amazing RN friends Ms. Tracy and Ms. Alex from MVHS stopped by to chat with our middle schoolers about personal hygiene and the importance of taking care of ourselves — inside and out!
Such an important conversation and valuable life lessons for our students!
We’re so grateful for this connection and the support from our community!

The Connected Herkimer 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat was an absolute blast! We had an incredible turnout of trunk-or-treaters and so many wonderful volunteers. The event was filled with laughter, dancing to fun Halloween music, exciting games, and of course, plenty of candy! The weather couldn’t have been better, adding to the perfect festive vibe as children safely celebrated Halloween and connected with teachers, businesses, organizations, and community members.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who hosted a trunk, handed out treats, and helped bring the Halloween spirit to life. Special thanks to our amazing student volunteers who kept everything running smoothly and to the outstanding Herkimer custodial staff for their hard work and support in making the event such a success.

Marina Bridgham from Cornell Cooperative Extension visited the HUBs during the last week of October, guiding students in creating calming glitter jars. Students of all ages enjoyed this hands-on activity, which not only provided a peaceful and creative space to relax, but also helped them learn strategies for managing stress and emotions in a positive way.
