Routine Operations Device behavior Under normal circumstances, the LED remains off unless configured to blink upon detecting motion via the integrated motion sensor.

Automatic operation The device operates automously, continuosly scanning for nearby authorized BLE tags. Upon detection a whitelisted BLE tag, the device automatically unlocks the locker.

Device restart When the device reboots, it indicates this state by blinking once, cykling through six different colors.

Maintenance Battery replacement Replace the 3.7V Lithium battery when the device LED blnks red, indicating low battery. The battery supports over 200.000 lock operations before replacement.

Enviormental conditions Operate the device within +5°C / +60°C temperature range and max 80% humidity conditions.

Troubleshooting • • • •

Connectivity issues: Restart the device and try again.

NFC key assignment issues: Restart the device and try again.

Presence detection issues: Restart the device, enable LED feedback for movement sensing test, if the LED do not activates when movement is present in front of the device , contact support.

Lock opening issues: Try to configure the whitelist again and assign a new key to the device.

Advanced Operations Updating the whitelist • • • •

To update the BLE tag whitelist, press the side button (Button 1) of the device once; the LED will blink margenta indicatiing readiness for whitelist updates.

Use the Longe Range Cover app logged into the account and tap the device to reconnect via Bluetooth.

Use the Long Range Cover app, tap the Whitelist tags button.

Select the BLE tags intended for access (maximum 8 tags), then press Pair to confirm.

Firmware updates • • • •

To upgrade firmware, connect the device to the Long Range Cover app. A notification will inform you when a new firmware version is available.

Go to the firmware upgrade section in Long Range Cover app and press the Upgrade button.

The device enters DFU mode (pulsating violet LED). During firmware transfer the LED blinks margenta.

Upon completion, the device restarts automatically, preserving the previously assinged Salto key and whitelist.

Factory reset • • •

Short-press the device’s back button (Button 2) to enter Key Assignment mode. This button is only accesible when the device is not mounted.

Then, press and hold the back button (Button 2) again for around 4 seconds.

When the button is released, the device returns to the initial state, indicated by bilnking once, cykling through six different colors.

New NFC assignment • •

Assign a new NFC key deletes the previous assigned device key, requiring a new key assignment.

Push the back button (Button 2) once, the device starts blinking yellow. This button is only accessible when the device is not mounted.

Use the Salto Space platform with the Encoder tool to assign a new key to the device.

This key is essential for opening and managing third- party BLE tags.

Place the device onto the Encoder.
