Design from the aspect of hearing: Hearing different sounds in the indoor garden space, the sound of water and the sound of simulated birds will make the blind people have pleasant emotions.

When passing through different spaces and stepping on different floors, prompt music will also be issued.

Design from the perspective of vision: the combination of glass roof and steel frame is used in some spaces, which provides light perception for color-blind patients and people with high myopia, and makes the indoor space bright.

The space section of the private SPA is decorated in a minimalist way. The walls are decorated with textured cement paint, which is the feature of this space and helps the blind to identify the space.

Design from three aspects: vision, hearing, and touch, slowly switch the journey of "blind people": hear different sounds from different spaces, feel different tactile sensations, and step on different materials. The realization of this sense in architecture embodies the emotional expression of architecture.

This section is divided into above ground and underground. The underground is an entertainment venue for the blind. On the ground is the reception hall.

Sketch Of Design

General survey of blind people, perception of all directions (five senses), required space analysis, auditory analysis (sounds that blind people like), building block generation analysis, barrier-free design for blind and visually impaired people.

Ground Floor Plane Basement Level 1

This scheme uses the edges and corners of ice and stone, plus the arcs of flame and magma, with a cold appearance and a warm inside, echoing the theme of the song of ice and fire, without destroying the local ecological environment, and can provide blind people with The warmth of home.

This page focuses on the design of underground healing spaces and private spa spaces. The underground healing space is mainly made of wooden walls combined with gabion walls, giving people a comfortable and soft feeling. With the streamlined structure, the space is no longer rigid.

Design Summary

The contrast between the hard and cold exterior of the building and the soft and warm interior environment further emphasizes the image of a song of ice and fire. The architectural design of the nursing home for the blind should comprehensively consider various environmental factors (including perennial wind direction, topography, geology, hydrology, groundwater, power supply, water supply and drainage, etc.), and make reasonable layout design specifically according to the nature and requirements of the nursing home.
