SOCIAL OASIS CO-LIVING THE VERTICAL RETIREMENT VILLAGE SPRINGVALE 2023

This project revolves around three core ideas: “Optimizing the Physical Environment,” where we prioritize health and safety in living spaces; “Fostering Social Interactions,” creating spaces and activities to encourage social connections; and “Promoting Psychological Comfort,” aiming to facilitate the reintegration of seniors into society. By integrating nursing-oriented senior apartments within the community center, we blend social elements with a hotel-style approach to cater to diverse housing needs. In this project, we redefine aging, offering daily opportunities for connection, growth, and a life lived to the fullest. The environment includes a wide range of amenities, activity facilities, social spaces, and a diverse array of interest classes and events, all dedicated to addressing the challenges of social isolation and loneliness among the elderly.

The project is dedicated to addressing a critical issue - the loneliness experienced by elderly individuals. To combat this challenge, we are collaborating with the Australian Vietnamese Women’s Association and developing the Springvale community center specially tailored to the needs of seniors. These spaces will be thoughtfully crafted to encourage social interaction, offer a rich variety of activities, and create opportunities for lifelong learning. Our overarching goal is to redefine the retirement experience, turning it into a vibrant and engaging phase of life.
