Director Notes

Everyman is a medieval morality play from the early 1500s. Even though it was written centuries ago it still resonates with society today as we wrestle with contemporary ideas of morality. Carol Ann Duffy’s exciting adaptation brings the play firmly into the 21st Century, weaving in concerns of climate change, consumerism and belief.

What does it mean to be a human being? What is right and wrong? What does it mean to give a reckoning of your life? These questions relate to our modern day society especially as we grow older People in their 20s ask these questions as they think about what they want from life and what life has in store for them

The students of Concordia have done a wonderful job taking on the challenge of portraying these tough life questions

We can't wait to share this story with you and hope you take away some new thought provoking questions or perhaps even some answers

Enjoy the show! -- Jennifer & Caroline
