ID Choose, upload and send your photo

If you’re a new student or a current student who has NEVER gotten an ID card, you can use the photo upload portal on your mobile device or desktop computer.

P1. Log into mypicture.concordia.ca using your student Concordia email address netname@live.concordia.ca.

2. Upload a photo of a government-issued photo ID and the photo you want on your ID and OPUS card.

I Review the photo requirement at concordia.ca/card.

3. The usual delay is 24-48 hours. You will receive a pick up confirmation email once your ID has been approved and details on where to go to pick it up

NEW STUDENTS - GETTING YOUR OPUS CARD

• First ensure you have uploaded your photo to the portal.

• Next, wait to receive the pick-up confirmation email before making your request.

• Remember you can make your OPUS card request even if you haven’t picked up your ID card in person.

PICK UP YOUR FIRST ID

1. Ensure you received a confirmation email informing you that your card was printed and is ready to be picked up.

2. Bring your student ID number and a piece of government-issued photo identifi cation. Without them, we cannot give you your student ID.

You must pick up your ID card yourself. Another person cannot get it for you. We also cannot mail your ID card.

WHAT DO I BRING ?

• Your Concordia ID number (provided on your acceptance letter or on the Student Hub under My CU account).

• A piece of government-issued photo ID.

IMPORTANT

• You must be registered for at least one course 24 hours before you can get your ID.

• ID cards cannot be issued if any of the above documents/information are missing.

GET AN OPUS CARD

To be entitled to pay the student reduced fare (a 40% savings off the regular fare), you must get a registered OPUS photo ID card.

Order your card online and it will be sent to you by mail. It’s fast and easy, with no waiting in line !

You will be charged a $15 fee by the STM to issue a card.

1. Log into the Student Hub and click on “My CU Account” using your netname and password.

2. Click on “Personal” and select “Opus Card”.

3. Follow the instructions to process your online payment.

You will receive your card by mail.

FEE Fee is charged directly to your student account.

Before requesting a card online, be sure you meet these criteria:

• Have a valid Concordia University student ID card for at least 24 to 48 hours prior to making your request.

• Be a full-time student at Concordia University for the current academic year.

• Have a valid mailing address in the province of Quebec.

CARD SERVICES FAQ

My Concordia student ID has expired, what do I do?

You will need a new card. Stop by Card Services for a replacement. Make sure you registered for at least one course and that you did so at least 24 hours ago. We will charge the $13.35 renewal fee directly to your student account.

I recently started a second undergraduate degree. Do I need another ID with a new expiration date and picture? If your card is expired. Yes, you will need a new card. A new ID card carries a cost of $13.35. Please ensure that you are currently registered for at least one course for 24 hours before your appointment. We will take a new photo of you.

I lost my ID card, what do I do?

Stop by the Card Services office. A replacement for a lost ID card carries a cost of $25.75 (fee is charged to your student account). Please ensure that you are currently registered for at least one course for 24 hours before your appointment.

If you find an ID card, please return it to the closest Protection and Prevention Desk on campus or to the Card Service office.

How do I proceed if my Concordia ID card is still valid, but my STM OPUS card is expired?

The STM still has your photo ID on file. To reorder your OPUS card.

1. Log into the Student Hub and click on “My CU Account” using your netname and password.

2. Click on “Personal” and select “Opus Card”.

3. Follow the instructions to process your online payment.

4. You will receive your card by mail.

I want to get my photo on my ID card changed, how do I proceed?

Stop by the Card Services office. A replacement ID card carries a cost of $25.75 (fee is charged to your student account)). Please ensure that you are currently registered for at least one course for 24 hours before your appointment.

Is the card transferable?

Student ID cards are non-transferable. Do not share your card or its information. The person whose name appears on the ID card is responsible for all use of the card, including library items borrowed and any charges on the card.

Can I get my reduced fare OPUS card before getting my Concordia ID?

The STM uses the Concordia ID card photo to produce the OPUS card. You must get your ID card before submitting an OPUS request. However, if you uploaded a picture to the new ID card portal and received a pick-up confirmation email you can make your OPUS card request even if you haven’t picked up your ID card in person.

Which photo Governement ID is accepted?

Driver’s license, health insurance card, passport, asylum seeker document, or permanent resident card.

Where do I get my reduced fare OPUS card?

You can order your OPUS card once you have gotten your Concordia ID card or you have uploaded a picture to the new ID card portal and received a pick-up confirmation email (make sure you wait at least 24 to 48 hours prior to making your request).

2. Click on “Personal” and select “Online Opus Card Registration”.

3. Follow the instructions to process your online payment.

4. You will receive your card by mail.

I’m unable to order my OPUS card online. You must access your OPUS attestation letter and complete the STM form.

1. Book an appointment before going to the STM photo studio.

2. You must download your proof of status on-site. Pre-downloaded versions will not be accepted.

3. Bring a photo ID that includes your birthday: health insurance card, driver’s license, passport, asylum seeker document, or permanent resident card. Student cards are not eligible forms of ID.

4. Bring a copy of the original paper copy of your STM form duly completed. You only need to fill out the sections “To be filled out by applicant” and “Mandatory signature.

5. Your appointment code.

You do not need have to have your form signed and stamped by Concordia. You only need to fill out the sections “To be filled out by applicant” and “Mandatory signature” and bring it with you at your appointment.

Access your OPUS attestation letter

The STM will ask you to generate your letter of attestation for additional verifications.

• Login to My CU Account using your netname and password.

• Select “My Student Centre”

• Click on the three small horizontal lines at the end of the Academics section to access the drop-down menu, then select “Attestation letters.

• Select the Academic Career that applies to your studies at Concordia.

• Select the Language.

• Select “Opus Attestation” from the Instantaneous PDF letter drop-down.

• Select the upcoming or upcoming term.

• Click on the “Print PDF”or “Continue button” or “Continue to pay” button (there are no cost).

• On the next page, click on “View Report button”.

• Show the letter at the STM photo studio at Berri-UQÀM métro station to have your card made.

* Cost to issue a card is $15. Cash, credit (Visa, MasterCard) and debit card are accepted. For questions about the attestation letter contact the Birks Student Service Centre.

PRINTING ON CAMPUS IS EASY WITH

3. Upload your document (s) to print with webprint.concordia.ca

4. Release your job at any printer on campus. Your document will be in the print queue for 24 hours
