h RETIREMENT Holy Cow! Joanna Baldwin is retiring after 14 years of dedicated service as a Print Buyer and Estimator. Her expertise in print and graphic design has been crucial to the success of numerous projects.

Promoting the new site Accessible via the CU account, on concordia.ca/print and on Ariba. The new site simplifies internal purchases of print products and official Concordia stationery. To facilitate this transition, redirecting customers to the online platform is crucial. Not only does it promote the site, but it also helps manage in-store workflow, reduce unnecessary data entry, save customers time, and presents opportunities for upselling. New product update The Print Store has been using NeverTear© paper as a replacement for print projects that usually require lamination. This synthetic paper is 100% recyclable. It can withstand rough wear and even water! An excellent option for name tags and signage. Hear, hear! Exciting news! The Print Store is set to welcome new equipment, the PT 33SC Slit/Cut machine. This addition will bring more versatility with its adjustable slitter design and pre-set templates. Cutting postcards, business cards, name tags and stickers is about to become a breeze! ALL HANDS ON DECK INVENTORY April 26 is inventory day. Most of our operations will be closed for the day. Card Services will remain open, details to follow.

She has consistently delivered high-quality work and has been a reliable and knowledgeable printing resource for the university. In addition to her role at the university, Joanna is an executive member of CUPMAC (College and University Print Management Association Canada), where she shares her passion and knowledge with other institutions nationwide. Over the years, Joanna has coordinated many printing jobs, from the ACFAS conference, the annual President’s Report, large view-through signage at the MB and EV, to banners, books, brochures, mailing, COVID signage, diplomas, exams, various swag items, and Concordia Stationery - the list goes on. As she prepares to retire, she is diligently working on material for Concordia’s 50th anniversary ensuring they are ready for print. Joanna has played a key role in selecting equipment for the Print Store and implementing print production management software, helping to expand our on-campus print services. Join us in congratulating Joanna on her retirement and wishing her all the best in this new chapter. We will be hosting a farewell gathering on June 11 to celebrate her contributions and to send her off with our best wishes. More details to follow.

Thank you, Joanna, my favourite print nerd (who smelled paper the other day to identify it ), for your hard work and dedication.Your presence will be missed, and we hope you enjoy a retirement filled with the things you love, especially your beloved cows. Melanie
