A Thank You to the Business Services Team
As we settle into another busy academic year, I would like to recognize and thank the Business Services team for their dedication and hard work throughout the back-to-school period. From supporting students with ID cards, DPrint services, locker rentals, parking operations, and Print Store services, staff across both campuses have worked together to ensure our service points remained accessible and responsive during one of the busiest times of the year. The coordination, flexibility, and commitment demonstrated by the team continue to make a positive impact on the student experience and daily campus operations. Thank you to everyone for your professionalism, collaboration, and continued focus on serving the Concordia community. Your efforts are appreciated and do not go unnoticed. ˜ Melanie BUSINESS SERVICES FINANCIAL SNAPSHOT Business Services revenue is currently approximately 4% above budget year-to-date, driven by strong performance from LB Parking, Print Store operations, Print Advisory services, and Card Services. It was a great opportunity to welcome students and help them get connected to campus resources. Thanks to Alex, Lindsay and Melanie for taking part in the events!

Popular offers included free admission to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and discounts at Poulet Rouge, Morsures d’amours, Patty Slaps, and more. The program also generated advertising revenue. The flyer has been viewed more than 3,000 times so far!
Services Fair | Wednesday, September 23
Business Services was buzzing at this year’s Service Fair! More than 300 students stopped by our booth to discover our services, complete a bingo card clue, and put their knowledge to the test in our Business Services Trivia Challenge. Participants had the chance to get one of 100 Concordia pennants and enter the bonus contest to win a Book Stop gift card. With an estimated 1,000 students attending the fair, the event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the Concordia community and showcase the services and programs available to students. A big thank you to Alex, Amanda, Daniel, David, Kim, Melanie, Steven, and for bringing the energy and helping make the day a success.
Air Canada promotion Ready for takeoff? Business Services teamed up with Air Canada to give 800 Concordia students some great travel perks: 5% off flights, two free checked bags, and lower cancellation fees. We spread the word through the Rabais CU website, events, the Concordia Co-op program, and the International Students Office. Even better, Concordia is one of only three universities in Quebec offering this exclusive program!
LOCKER RENTALS ARE UP Locker rentals are off to a great start, with occupancy up 5% over last year, rising from 56% to 61%. Promotion across the website, social media, at events, in the flyers, and digital screens around campus helped spread the word, and 389 students entered our contest for a chance to win a free locker rental.
Happy Thanksgiving! Monday, October 12
PRINT STORE NEWS Why Is Stuart Smiling? Let’s just say It’s a pressing matter... If you’ve noticed Stuart smiling a little more than usual, there’s a good reason. Print Services has successfully installed two new Konica Minolta production presses: the AccurioPress 7136 and the AccurioPress C4080.
New bike shelter In partnership with our sustainability colleagues, a new bike hanger has been installed at the Loyola campus. With six secure bike spaces now available, it’s another step toward supporting active and sustainable transportation options for Concordia.
The new equipment delivers improved print quality, greater reliability, enhanced colour consistency, and increased production capacity, helping the team better serve the Concordia community. The installation was no small feat. The transition required a full week of downtime and took place just before the start of the busy fall rush, making it an especially challenging period for the Print Services team. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, the new presses are up and running and ready to support another successful academic year.
IT’S HAPPENING: GUY STREET IS REOPENED! The street is officially back to its regular traffic flow, and Google Ads are now live to boost visibility and get users up to speed on the change. Occasional short-term closures may still occur for finishing work. Some construction-related restrictions will remain in place until the winter shutdown on November 20, 2026.
PARKING UPDATES MACKAY HALL PARKING LOT Exciting news! A new downtown parking lot on Mackay Street will be opening soon, making it even easier for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to access campus. The launch will be supported by new signage, website updates, digital marketing, and communications to help spread the word.

LINDSAY DELIVA | Drive innovation category A big cheer for Lindsay, who keeps things moving at Loyola. One clear answer and one thoughtful follow-up at a time! Her attention to parking follow-ups helped recover close to $1,000 in unpaid tickets. As a key Business Services contact at Loyola, Lindsay patrols the lots, answers questions, and even supports ID card services and DPrint! She wears plenty of hats, even if none comes with an official badge ! ~Kim Nominate your MVP
