This season was truly special for our G3U Girls Basketball Team. Winning both the tournament and the league with an unbeaten record is a reflection of the hard work, discipline, commitment, and teamwork shown by every player throughout the season. From the very first practice to the final game, the girls continued to improve, trust one another, and compete with heart every single time they stepped onto the court.
What made this achievement even more meaningful was the character the team displayed during challenges and pressurefilled moments. The players stayed focused, supported each other, and played with confidence and determination. Their dedication to training and willingness to learn helped build a strong team culture that led to success.
This unbeaten championship season was not only about winning games, but also about building friendships, growing as athletes, and learning valuable lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. The support from parents, coaches, and the entire community also played a huge role in making this season unforgettable.
We are proud of everything this team accomplished and grateful for the memories created together. This championship season will always be remembered as a result of unity, hard work, and believing in one another.

From May 11th–15th, 2026, PYP Book Week transformed the campus into a vibrant world where imagination came alive, and stories were not only read but truly experienced. Throughout the week, students celebrated reading, storytelling, and cultural diversity, bringing English, Chinese, and Thai narratives to life through creative dress-up days, interactive activities, and the Spring Book Fair.
A special highlight was the visit from well-known children’s author Janice Santikarn, who shared her journey as a writer during an engaging storytelling workshop. Inspired by Thailand’s culture, animals, and environment, she introduced some of her books, The Little Blue Tuk-Tuk, The Giant Cabbage, and Nawin Saves the Elephants. Through storytelling and a lively Q&A session, she encouraged students to find inspiration in everyday life and see themselves as future authors.
The celebration continued with three themed days that brought stories and cultures to life across the campus.

On English Day, “Storybook Stars,” students arrived as fairy-tale characters, pirates, and heroes, turning the school into a living storybook alongside the bustling Spring Book Fair. On Chinese Day, “Legends and Lanterns,” the campus glowed in red and gold as students explored myths and legends, from Mulan and the Monkey King to zodiac animals and dragons. The week concluded on Thai Day, “Tales and Traditions,” a joyful celebration of Thai culture through folklore-inspired costumes, traditional arts, and shared reading activities.
The Spring Book Fair also enriched the PYP library with a wonderful selection of new books, offering the community more stories to explore, connect with, and enjoy.
Across the week, creativity and storytelling filled every corner of the school. PYP Book Week was a powerful reminder that stories connect cultures, spark imagination, and inspire every reader to become a storyteller.

Mharvie Romanillos, PYP Teacher Librarian

Participating in the competition was an invaluable experience for me, not only because of the scores and awards, but rather the journeys, memories, experiences that made it special to me.
First of all, I am very glad to play Khim, as it is not just a regular instrument but an instrument carved deeply into Thai history, and every sound that is produced is a reminder that we should preserve culture. Last year, I participated in the 44th Khim contest (middle region), primary division. I dedicated myself for about 4 months into auditioning, refining, and of course, to something that is sometimes boring but exponentially important: Practicing.
I can still recall that Kru A dragged me to practice every morning, every breaktime, every free lunchtime or even after school. Even though I was a very irresponsible, naughty monkey (obviously), she slowly grinded me to discipline.

On the competition day, I was all bubbles. Excited, but nervous. Determined, but scared. Confident, but deeply worried of a bad performance. That was until everyone reminded me of the true purpose of music: The pleasing of the human ear to enjoy an experience. I played my best music and everyone was satisfied, not due to the quality of performance or any deliberate skill, rather that I tried my best.
To my parents and Kru A (I hope you will recover soon!), thank you for the hours, the patience, and the belief. My thanks also extends to Kru Oun and Kru Oat for helping me refine my techniques. I am holding this award for all of us, as it surely would have been indefinitely impossible to achieve without the excellent support from all for you. So, thank you. :D
Congratulations to Bill G11 on winning a gold medal in 3x3 Basketball, representing Concordian International School and Bangkok province in the 41st Thailand National Youth Competition. We wish him continued success!

Under the soft morning light, our PTA community gathered at The Forestias for a truly refreshing start to the day. The “Morning Trails” Family Outing welcomed over 100 families—more than 400 participants—creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter, connection, and shared moments in nature.
Families explored scenic trails, enjoyed thoughtfully prepared activity stations, and came together over a delightful lunch. Each moment reflected the spirit of togetherness—where friendships deepened, children played freely, and everyone embraced the simple joy of being outdoors.
This special day was more than just an outing; it was a celebration of community, wellness, and meaningful connections.

n Friday, May 15th, 2026, the K3 students were excited to take a trip to Sea Life Bangkok located in Siam Paragon. The students had the opportunity to explore a variety of fascinating underwater habitats and observe many different sea creatures up close. One of the highlights that the students kept talking about was walking through the underwater tunnel, where sharks, rays, and colorful fish swam all around and seeing so many new animals that they had never seen before.
The K3 students enjoyed observing different marine species, including seahorses, jellyfish, starfish, penguins and a variety of sharks. Many students eagerly shared interesting facts they learned throughout the day and tied their experiences back to their learning in the classroom. They had a fantastic time learning about and experiencing life under the sea. The visit to Sea Life Aquarium was not only educational but also a fun adventure that sparked curiosity and appreciation for the amazing world beneath the ocean’s surface.
Ms. Sheena Kapples

Grade 4 visited the magical underwater world of Sea Life Bangkok for their field trip.
It was an educational and inspirational experience that took us through shark tunnels where we met Susie, the 30 year old sting ray, who looked like a shark. We spotted a few black tip reef sharks and were amazed to learn that when their teeth fall out, they just rotate one forward from the back row.
The penguins were a huge hit but most didn’t want to swim despite our encouragement, as they were waiting for their morning snack and knew we had no tasty treats for them.
Jelly fish, pot- bellied sea horses, sea dragons and sword fish were just some of the amazing creatures that we observed and learned about from our knowledgeable guide.
After a tasty lunch in Blu O, we finished up our field trip with a 4D movie, “The bear and the Squirrel” which was the highlight of the day for many students and a super connection with our current UOI on ecosystems.
Grade 4 were models students the whole day, funny, interested and full of gratitude for their fun day out.
Ms. Kathryn Kane

Young writers across the Primary Years showcased their creativity during Concordian’s annual English Writing Contest on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026. Organized by the PY English Department, the contest provided students with an opportunity to develop their English writing skills while expressing their ideas and imagination through storytelling.
Centered around the theme “Festival of Stories,” this year’s contest invited students in Grades 1–5 to use their imaginations to create original narratives inspired by one of four visual image prompts. During an independent one-hour writing session, students carefully planned, drafted, revised, and edited their stories, showcasing both their creativity and growing confidence as writers.
The contest highlighted students’ enthusiasm for storytelling and provided a meaningful opportunity for them to apply their English language skills in an authentic and engaging way. Each story reflected the individuality of its writer, with students demonstrating imagination, organization, and thoughtful use of language.
Following the contest, English homeroom and ELS teachers carefully evaluated each story using grade-level criteria designed to assess narrative structure, idea development, and language conventions appropriate for each grade level.
Students were recognized for their accomplishments during the PY Flag Raising Ceremony on Thursday, March 26. Surrounded by peers, teachers, and family members, award recipients proudly celebrated their achievements in the following categories:
Class Excellent Writer Award
– First place in class
Class Great Writer Award
– Second place in class
Grade Level Excellent Writer Award
– First place in grade level
Grade Level Great Writer Award
– Second place in grade level
We are extremely proud of all students for their participation in this year’s contest and applaud their love of writing. Their dedication and passion for storytelling made the contest a meaningful showcase of student voice.

The 2025–26 PYP Exhibition at Concordian was a vibrant celebration of student inquiry, creativity, and achievement. As the grand finale of the Primary Years Programme, this culminating year-long unit concluded in May, giving students the opportunity to showcase the knowledge, skills, and confidence they had developed throughout their PYP journey.
Staged around the transdisciplinary theme “How We Express Ourselves,” students brought their learning to life through engaging TED Talk-style presentations, meaningful process booths, and a captivating self-portrait art exhibit. Throughout the year, they explored topics connected to the UN SDGs, guided by their interests and supported by teachers, parents, mentors, and guest speakers.
The Exhibition integrated every aspect of the PYP curriculum, with students proudly demonstrating their trilingual abilities and learning across Physical Education, Art, Music, and ICT. From class songs and creative presentation trailers to energetic PE-based pep cheers, each element reflected dedication, collaboration, and joyful learning.
The final presentations were thoughtful, dynamic, and inspiring, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. More than a showcase of achievement, the PYP Exhibition reflected Concordian’s commitment to inquiry, expression, and meaningful action toward a better future.

This year, our Grade 5 students reached a significant milestone in their Primary Years Programme journey with a showcase of profound creativity and personal growth. The PYPX Art Exhibition was more than just a gallery of work; it was a celebration of an artistic evolution that began for many of these students back in Grade 1.
Art provides a unique lens through which we view the world, challenging us to reflect, build empathy, and inspire a commitment to our community. Throughout this creative process, the Class of 2033 embraced the freedom to express beauty while cultivating a spirit of thoughtful inquiry.
A central part of this achievement was the development of their Artist Statements. In these written reflections, students articulated the deep intentionality behind their pieces, explaining the specific symbols they chose to represent their passions and the underlying meanings of their work.

This process allowed them to connect their personal narratives to broader global issues, particularly the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Their artworks highlight a shared vision for a more just and sustainable world; a vision powered by hope, awareness, and the drive for positive action.
These students have grown into thoughtful artists and leave behind an impressive record of their work. As they move on from the Primary Years Programme, their curiosity and kindness will give them a strong foundation for the Middle Years Programme.
The future holds incredible promise for the Class of 2033. The creativity and dedication displayed in this exhibition will undoubtedly continue to shine as they navigate the exciting challenges and opportunities of the years ahead.

Every year, our school proudly celebrates Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year, as a way to preserve and promote the beauty of Thai culture and traditions. The celebration always brings great joy, excitement, and happiness to students, teachers, and parents as everyone comes together to enjoy the festive atmosphere.
The event began with beautiful performances by the Thai instrumental ensemble and Thai dance group, featuring students from the primary level through high school, creating a wonderful atmosphere of Thai culture and tradition. At the Grand Theater, we were also honored to have representatives of the PYP parents join us as honorary models in the fashion presentation of the elegant and culturally significant Chut Thai.

Their participation added great warmth and value to the celebration while highlighting the beauty of Thai heritage. In addition, students took part in the traditional Rod Nam Dam Hua ceremony, where they respectfully poured scented water over their teachers’ hands and asked for blessings as a gesture of gratitude and respect. To conclude the celebration, everyone enjoyed fun water activities and traditional Thai games together, filling the day with laughter, smiles, and unforgettable memories.
As we welcomed the Thai New Year together, we would like to wish all families in our school community happiness, good health, prosperity, and many joyful moments throughout the year ahead. May this new beginning bring brightness, success, and warmth to every family. Happy Thai New Year!

To celebrate Earth Day this year, PYP STUCO initiated a special 3-day challenge to the community: finish every bite of lunch.
To launch this event, the STUCO leadership team presented a short skit about food waste at a Flag-Raising assembly. They set up a booth to promote this challenge, and many students signed up.
From April 20th to 23rd, 2026, many students and teachers enthusiastically took part, finishing every bite on their plates at lunch. When the three-day challenge came to an end, some

students simply weren't ready to stop. "Will there be more?" they asked. It’s a clear sign that small habits were already becoming a lasting change.
Through this challenge, our school community learned a powerful lesson that small, everyday actions can make a real difference in protecting our planet. Although the event has ended, all community members are encouraged to continue these habits every day.
