IB Diploma Visual Arts Exhibition:
Class of ‘26
On March 25 of this school year, it was my pleasure to welcome th
Concordian community members to our annual Diploma Visual Art exhibition. This year’s exhibition, titled "11 Rooms”, consolidated the imaginations, deep conceptual thinking and creative risk-taking of our 11 final‑year students. Over the preceding two years ,our Art studio has been a place where ideas have been nurtured, experimentation encouraged, and our 11 individual voices developed into resolved bodies of work, finally showcased here in the exhibition.
Each of the 11 artists brought a distinct perspective—diverse interests, personalities, and experiences—that was reflected across the exhibition. These works were the outcome of sustained inquiry and exploration, and visitors were invited to move through the rooms, read the artists’ accompanying texts and rationales, and engage with them about their processes and choices. We thank our school leaders for supporting this platform for student work, and I can personally express what a privilege it has been to work with these thoughtful, kind and immensely talented young artists over the past two years.
