Day Trips & Tours

We define trips and tours that don’t require overnight stays as day trips. All day trips will feature roundtrip transportation from the Concord Senior Center. Payment must be made in full at the time of registration.
Extended Travel
Any trip or tour that requires an overnight stay is considered extended travel. Trip booklets for an extended travel program, with registration details and full itineraries for each destination included, may be picked up at any of the Community Centers.
How To Participate
Read the description of the travel program. Determine if the mobility rating is appropriate for your physical fitness level and health. Register for a program online, in-person or over-the-phone with our registration staff at any of the Community Centers.
Transportation
Roundtrip transportation from the Concord Senior Center will be provided either on a commercial motor coach or in a passenger van.
Travel Safely
To maintain a safe travel environment, the City will follow the latest health guidelines and protocols set by the local and state public health departments. Contact the Program Coordinator for further clarification.

Sold Out & Waitlist
If a trip is sold out, a waitlist will be formed. If there’s a cancellation, registration staff will contact persons on the waitlist registration staff will contact persons on the waitlist on a first-come, first served basis.
Trip Minimums
Travel programs may need to be cancelled in advance if trip minimums are not met in advance. Help us spread the word about upcoming trips to avoid potential cancellations.
Cancellations & Refunds
As a result of passenger minimums and prepaid deposits, refunds will not be permitted within 30 days of a trip. Refunds and withdrawals will be subject to a $5 cancellation fee. Trips are rain or shine.
Mobility Levels
It’s important to note that each person’s mobility can vary widely, and these ratings are intended to provide a general guideline for mobility levels of day trips.
Mobility Levels For Day Trips
Level 1: Easy
This rating is suitable for seniors who have limited mobility, use a wheelchair, or use a walker. Walkable destinations in this category include places that have flat terrain, easy-to-navigate paths, and minimal obstacles.
Level 2: Moderate
This rating is suitable for seniors who are mobile but may need occasional rest breaks. Walkable destinations in this category include places with some inclines or stairs but still offer easy-to-navigate paths and seating areas.

Level 3: Strenuous
This rating is suitable for seniors who are active and enjoy a good workout. Walkable destinations in this category include places with steep inclines, uneven terrain, and long distances.
Protecting Yourself Against Financial Fraud
