Bronze Cross
Prepares candidates for lifeguarding, emphasizing teamwork and emergency response. Prerequisite: Bronze Medallion and First Aid certifications.

Adult/Leisure Swim
This is a lap swimming and leisure-style swim with access to the hot tub and sauna. Ages 17 and older.
Lap Swim
Lap swimming with access to the hot tub and sauna.

This is a lap swimming and leisure-style swim with access to the hot tub and sauna Ages 55 and older
Family Swim
This is a swim dedicated to families; adult couples are also welcome. Single adults looking for a lap/leisure swim and to use the hot tub and sauna are asked to attend Adult or Public Swims Children of all ages require a guardian in the water with them at all times
Public Swim
This is a lap swimming and leisure-style swim for those 12 years and older. Children 12 and under require a guardian in the water with them at all times.
Drop-In Shallow Water Fitness
This is a drop-in fitness class taught by an instructor in the shallow end of the pool This class is a great way to have fun, meet new friends, and exercise
Adaptive Aquatics Program
This is a free program offered to children and adults with disabilities or mobility limitations.

The Recreation Complex is the ideal place to host a birthday party, conference or function. Our rentals include one hour of pool time, followed by one hour in the multi-purpose room. We can accommodate several options to suit your needs. In the party room you have access to the full kitchen, which includes an oven, microwave and refrigerator. We take the liberty of setting up the covered tables and chairs.
Rental options are as follows:
Fridays 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Saturdays 2:30-4:30 p.m. and 5:15 – 7:15 p.m.
Sundays 1:45-3:45 p.m. and 4:05-6:05 p.m.

The CBS Arena is a state-of-the-art arena, which features an NHL regulation-sized ice surface and walking track. Rentals, canteen services, and skate sharpening services are available.
The walking track is available to the public free of charge, unless there is a ticketed event or private rental booked. The walking track is stroller-friendly.

All ice users must wear a CSA-approved ice helmet when on the ice
Children are allowed on the ice in a stroller, accompanied by an adult, and must also wear a helmet. The ice is installed from August through June.

The Town of Conception Bay South has an inclusive community park in its downtown area, along the Inner Long Pond Harbour. The Community Park features Newfoundland and Labrador’s first combination refrigerated outdoor rink plus splash pad. At over 11,000 square feet, it is one of the province’s largest inclusive play areas The park has a washroom and change room facilities, walking trails, a performance stage, and lighting

Persons violating any rules or instructions from staff may lose access privileges.
Do not drink splash pad water. It is recycled and treated but not for consumption.

Sgt. Ned Nugent's Park offers a variety of activities for sports enthusiasts and families. It features fields for soccer, softball, and rugby, as well as a playground. There's also a dog park for your furry friends. The park's skatepark includes back-and-forth runs, quarter pipes, banks, a funbox, jumpbox, and a mini ramp. It's a dynamic space for the community to enjoy sports and recreation.
The Conception Bay South Lions Club is well-known for helping our community. Each year, the organization awards a President’s Project to address a local need. In 2023, the chosen project was to enhance Sgt. Ned Nugent's Field by creating a welcoming picnic area to complement the existing amenities. Recognizing the growing need for outdoor spaces, the focus was to develop a quaint seating area where families and visitors could relax and enjoy. The Lions Club continues to demonstrate its dedication to enhancing our community and fostering a strong sense of togetherness among residents. Thank you for your ongoing support.
Topsail Beach Rotary Park is the crown jewel of Conception Bay South. Featuring an expansive picnic area, playground, gazebo, and amphithe Topsail Beach is the perfect spot for a family outing or a relaxing day in

Topsail Beach serves as the official starting point of the world-famous East Trail and also Topsail Bluff, two popular hiking trails that offer scenic views opportunities for outdoor adventure.

Description: Follow the former Newfoundland Railway. This trail will take you along the coast, into wooded areas, past farms and through Downtown CBS.
Location: Various access points marked by green/blue toppers on road signs or at the Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre at 7 Conception Bay Hwy.

Difficulty: Moderate - Difficult; Hike

Description: Hike along the seashore, through dense forest and below towering cliffs. This section of the East Coast Trail will take you from Topsail to Portugal Cove.

Description: This scenic route follows along one of the oldest river systems in North America. Take in local wildlife, ancient fossils and so much more.

Description: This picturesque trail will take you through Peace Park, our community garden, Sgt. Ned Nugent’s outdoor recreation complex and return you to the T’Railway.
Location: Kiwanis Club, 925 Conception Bay Highway
Enjoy the restaurants, shops, sights, and sounds of Downtown CBS! This walk combines built pedestrian paths along Route 60, a new nature trail connecting Bishops Road and Greenslades Place, and access to T’Railway through municipal streets.
The Downtown walk takes visitors on a scenic loop including the Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club Manuels River trail network, and the CBS Community Park.
Cyclists should be considerate of other users when using our trail systems. Using a bell or saying “on the left” for a safe pass. Slow down in busy areas or where there are commonly slow-moving trail users and obey signage.
Walkers should allow space to pass and walk on the right-hand side of the trail
The T’Railway is not for motorized vehicle use
Do not park cars in front of walking trail entrances.
Pet owners are asked to please clean up after their pets.
The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a dynamic and inclusive platform dedicated to empowering young individuals aged 13 to 24 to become leaders and change-makers in their community. We believe in the power of youth voice and action in driving positive change. Members get the opportunity to voice ideas, contribute to Town initiatives and events, and enhance their resumes with hands-on experience.

Join us for Pickleball at Admiral’s Academy in Conception Bay South! These self-guided sessions offer residents the chance to enjoy the sport at their convenience. Residents can reserve play time and courts. Players under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Come out and enjoy a fun, active time with friends! Reserve your spot through the Town’s online system and get ready to play. Program will open for online court bookings in the fall.

This free program allows individuals to explore the beautiful trails of Conception Bay South. The program takes place three times per year, for 8weeks each time. in the spring, fall and winter. Participants will join a group leader at the designated meeting location for the walk each week on Wednesdays at 10:30 a m The final walk ends with an outdoor boil-up
Let us do the driving as we travel to local sites and activities. These socials take place between May to October each year.
The Town of Conception Bay South has a Seniors Advisory Committee to provide insight and experience on matters involving seniors. The volunteer members of this committee play a valuable role in the community by ensuring the voices of our senior population are heard
