Un edificio sin huecos porque se envuelven usos escénicos y actividades musicales. Lo importante es el interior... pero, como toda buena arquitectura, las lecturas son múltiples: la disposición de volúmenes, vacios y llenos mejora el espacio circundante. Los huecos, al final, son los necesarios, plenos de lógica constructiva.

The town of Llinars del Vallès sits on fairly even2.0terrain comprised of slightly sloped 2.0 ground with few hills and stretches between the southern edges of Montseny and the Catalan Coastal Range.
Al noreste de la trama urbana de la villa se encuentra el solar sobre el cual se ha construido el edificio del Teatro-Auditorio de Llinars del Vallès. Es esta la primera actuación de un proyecto más amplio, ya redactado y que se despliega sobre terrenos públicos obtenidos por la cesión derivada de la ejecución del plan parcial Can Marquès cuyo ámbito, por sus lados este-sur-oeste, de forma sensiblemente triangular, se macla con el perímetro irregular consolidado de la villa de Llinars, relacionando el centro de la villa con su límite por la parte noreste. Los terrenos de cesión, en medio de los cuales se mantiene la casa agrícola de Can Marquès que dio nombre al plan parcial, corresponden a parque urbana y a usos de equipamientos y residencial de protección pública.
To the north-east of the urban fabric is the plot on which Llinars del Vallès’ Theatre/ auditorium is built. This constitutes the first phase of a larger project, and was CORONACIÓN EN PIEDRA ENCUENTRO CON FACHADA constructed on public ground ceded for implementation of the Can Marquès Urban Development Plan, which on the east, south and west sides forms a triangle before converging with the uneven, built-up edge of the town of Llinars and connects the town centre with its north-eastern border. This land, in the middle of which is the house of Can Marquès, after which the development plan was called, is an urban park and land reserved for state-subsidised housing and public facilities.
Dentro del área del parque se mantiene intacta una zona de bosque maduro con vegetación antigua, atravesado por un torrente. Por razones de calidad paisajística y ambiental, la preservación del bosque con el torrente ha sido un factor determinante en la ordenación de las nuevas edificaciones. Así mismo, los elementos botánicos de gran valor que rodean parcialmente la casa de Can Marquès, han llevado a la conveniencia de rehabilitar este edificio y ampliarlo para acoger usos culturales de naturaleza musical.
A mature forest with old vegetation and a stream were kept intact in the park. For landscaping and environmental reasons, the decision to preserve the forest and the stream had a decisive influence on the arrangement of the new buildings. Furthermore, on account of the highly valuable botanical elements that partially surround Can Marquès it was decided to restore and extend the building to house cultural and musical activities.
La reflexión sobre los valores a preservar del parque y de la casa Can Marquès, así como el propio diseño del parque han determinado la ordenación general del conjunto y sus relaciones interiores y exteriores. Las superficies de suelo se distribuyen de la siguiente manera: 16.392 m2 como suelo de equipamiento para teatro auditorio y anexo cultural; 19.428,58 m2 de parque urbano

El municipio de Llinars del Vallès se asienta sobre la orografía suave -un territorio ligeramente inclinado, con poco relieve- que se extiende entre los contrafuertes meridionales del Montseny y la Serrelada Litoral.
