DONORS IN BLOOD Compton needed

Dominguez High School in Compton will be holding a blood drive on May 15. With a monthlong outreach to cities within Los Angeles County, the Red Cross will be setting up shop and taking blood donations at Dominguez High School from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. type in the most serious situations.

INDIVIDUALS who do donate blood will receive a $10 e-gift card. When every second counts, blood products can provide lifesaving care. The American Red Cross asks the public to give blood or platelets during Trauma Awareness Month in May to keep hospitals prepared for all transfusion needs, including emergencies. Type O negative blood donors are especially needed right now.
