Tiempo Traviesa For two groups of performers

Luis Toro (2013) 1

Instructions. This piece is written by way of a score of actions that the musicians can perform on the instrument or off. The numbers shown in the score are used to determine the length or duration of such possible actions as well as their succession in the course of the work. Performers must have internal and quietly at the indicated speeds (in bpm) Tempo 60 bpm Double Tempo 120 bpm Medium Tempo 30 bpm While each instrumentalist performs their separate account, without considering synchronization issues since gestures and sounds might occur at different speeds, the score indicates certain points which require synchronization, marked with vertical dotted lines. Interpreters perform actions that are indeterminate. This action is continuous and should always be one and only one for each number. Action can make a contact with the instrument, thus generating one or more sounds. It is acceptable to perform an action that does not require contact with the instrument or anything that generates sound, resulting in a silent action. Dynamic levels are indicated with the conventional notation. In cases where two indications in brackets indicate minimum and maximum ranges: [p - f], in which the performer can determine the dynamic at will. Six basic guidelines, which are encoded by the aggregate number sign signs to indicate the possible duration of action. 7 - The number "only" indicates that the action (one and only one) should begin early in the count but may end when the performer deems appropriate, at any time account of that number. (Imagine holding a note for the duration of the number provided but this could theoretically be anything that can be sustained over a period of time.) 2

7 - underlined number indicates that the action must be repeated as often as directed by the number, in sync with the continuously felt time(the bp marked below). This repetition does not necessarily imply the repetition of sound, as this action may vary (at any level, i.e. gestures). (7) - The number in parentheses indicates silence, complete lack of action. It is an inactive account and instrumentalists should remain quiet and motionless for these silences [7] - indicates a passive silent count. Overall general suspensions of musical action feasible to be used to "regroup" accounts. Basically I believe he means they are grand pauses. 7 >> - A number followed by two "arrows" indicates that the action should be initiated at the beginning of the account and strictly start to finish it. 7 - Number "strikethrough" indicates that the action (one and only one) can begin and end at any time of the account, but always "inside" of the duration of the account. Provision The score has two lines: a) b) and each of the two groups of lines read. Any other type of performance is possible if the two lines are read.
