Six Super Eagles New Players

Nigeria has historically had a presence in the Premier League. From Efan Ekoku to the most recent addition, Joe Aribo, the Super Eagles' presence in the most watched league has been one of the primary reasons Nigerians anticipate the return of hostilities every August/September. The Super Eagles had eight players in the Premier League previous season, but with Watford relegating three Nigerians and the impending departure of Leicester City's Ademola Lookman, reconciled with the arrivals of Taiwo Awoniyi and Joe Aribo from Union Berlin and Rangers, the current super eagles new players are six. Joe Aribo (Southampton) Aribo made his Southampton debut with an incredible goal, gliding past a sea of legs to score what can only be compared to a signature Maradona or Messi strike, despite the fact that they went on to lose. The midfielder arrived from UEFA Europa League finalists Rangers and is likely to make his debut when the club travels to face Tottenham Hotspur. Taiwo Awoniyi (Nottingham Forest) Awoniyi joins Nottingham Forest after a good season in the Bundesliga with Union Berlin. He is one of the super eagles new players now. The club will expect Awoniyi to justify the club record fee of £17.5 million. Nottingham Forest's Premier League campaign kicks off against Newcastle United.
